While McCray may not be ranked ahead of Gratz against the run, McCray is not afraid to get his nose dirty either... Why don't you compare the coverage statistics between them both? 

 

In 2014, McCray was compared with the top 5 cornerbacks in the league against the PASS.

Click on the link that I provided, John, to see statistics that support the FACT that McCray is better than Gratz. If you are feeling a little adventurous, you can traverse through the ESPN, PFF, and NFL statistics which show McCray being the better player by a significant margin than Gratz.

McCray's coverage ability >>>> Gratz coverage ability.

 

Gratz run-stopping ability is negligible compared to McCray.

Do you really think our run D would hurt thst bad if we put in McCray over Gratz? Lol. Gratz might be a little better but McCray will stick his nose in also and isnt horrible against the run.

It doesnt matter (really) what I think because I'm not in charge of making that decision, so Enigma can call me anything he wants it wont change HC Gus Bradleys decison not to start McCray.

I'm wondering why did McCray get demoted into oblivion after having a really good 2014 season....

 

It's amazing that, in the few instances that McCray has had an opportunity this year, our pass defense played very stout and did not allow many deep passes - which further reaffirms the idea that he should be on the field with House on the outside (and Colvin in the slot).

Demetrius McCray did play against the titans, he had two tackles.  He's listed behind Aaron Colvin as Gratz is listed behind House.  When Aaron moves inside McCray goes out to my understanding?
