No lets just give it to Slowby.

Just another casualty of Caldwell's 1st draft. I mean, look at our draft. Our 7th round pick has the most potential to be good out of any of those
Did Caldwell use Gene's left over notes to make these picks?

The question is if you are confident in Denard. The answer is no. I'm not confident in him or any other RB on this team outside of Yeldon.

And why would you even let him with Yeldon out there?

Quote:When did Pierce go in IR?
He might be referring to a thread I made when I guessed Pierce would go on IR with what was initially reported as an Achilles injury. Now they're just calling it a calf injury so it's tough to say what it is exactly, but he's doubtful for this game which for all intents and purposes means he's out. If Yeldon can't play, and I'm guessing he won't, this leaves DRob, Gerhart and Banyard as the RBs.
BTW, I don't hate DRob. I just don't trust him to do anything running up the middle. He most dangerous bounding outside.

This is actually the first game this year he has looked like the player he was last year and in the preseason this year

props to denard tonight man when his number was called there were times he made it count. i dont blame him for those stupid red zone plays that were called we should agve thomas every chance we could to get some catches going his way and we played scared instead. again, great job to denard for makin his runs count when he could.

When healthy he's good. He looked decent tonight.

He looked good today. He was playing out of his element on the goal line and I don't fault him for that, that was just terrible playcalling.

If Clay Harbor doesn't miss the kick out block then Robinson would have scored.

Denard looked fine, lots of people down on him, but he really hasn't had a lot of chances to show anything this year.
He Looks the same as last year, same speed and quickness. I understand the need to play the 2nd round pick, but Yeldon getting
50yards or 60yards per game as was the case the last couple of games is not exactly All World play. This love for him is a bit over the top. We do have other backs just as capable as Yeldon, but they have a high draft pick in him, and those ALWAYS get the playing time even if Robinson was better Yeldon would be starting. That's the truth, there are politics in the locker room when playing higher round draft picks. No coach is going to admit it, but it's reality, you play the 2nd rounder.
The coaches could rotate the backs and see who is having a hot hand with nary a drop off in production, and it might actually improve, but they will not do it of course as that might cause some coaching minds being blown while trying to be creative. They tried to get creative and have a RB pass and left Denard on the sidelines, that is some real coaching genius. Leave the college QB on the sidelines and have Rudy throw the ball.
They won't give Denard a chance, they have a new toy in Yeldon, and a lot of push to play the higher draft pick.
