Oh, I almost forgot...

When you look at Yahoo picks or the expert picks they show like 80-something percent picking the Ravens, although last night on the Sirius NFL channel, there were a bunch of picks coming in for the Jaguars. You're typical casual fan outside of Jacksonville is saying Ravens, which makes sense considering the Jaguars are a 5 1/2 point underdog, but quite a few really in the know are saying Jaguars.

Some in the media picking the Jaguars include Boomer Esiason, Jason La Canfora and Dave Richard from CBS Sports, Mike Golic, KC Joyner and Mark Schlereth from ESPN, Adam Meyer and Ryan Fowler from FOX Sports, Mark Malone and Tony Boselli from Westwood One, and Mark Sessler from NFL Network.

We could have every expert in the land backing the Jags, but they've still got a big job to do. Having said that it sure is nice to see some love for JAX, some love and recognition for a young team starting to find its feet.

Yea,  I am noticing that a lot of the league guys and announcers and other people who are outside of your typical fan are starting to notice the foundation that is being built.  There is no denying that the casual fan will pick the Ravens.  Over the last decade the Ravens have been really good and the Jags really bad.  That being said, I am noticing more and more picks coming the Jags way, even last week in NY.
If the Jags can limit their turnovers without hampering their offensive strategy of driving the ball downfield they could become a very dangerous team in the 2nd half of the season.

Of course, that is a BIG "IF."

u just did a beautiful state of the franchise quote.... " young team starting to find it's feet"

THATS EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE.... I BELIEVE TODAY WE FIND OUR FEET AND SMASH THE RAVENS......
I just hope we can find our shoes too....

Stop yelling.

Maybe we need more yelling around here.
Ravens are 29th in passing and last in forcing turnovers. Hopefully we don't pad that turnover stat. Can we beat the Ravens in a shootout? Possibly. Worried about what Flacco will do to this defense.

I hope not. It's one thing to have INTs, but it's getting old hearing words like, "...and that's his first INT this season."

To be fair, it would be a first for our DBs as well. If they get a pick.

Football gods hate me. Of course my phone breaks so now I have to watch the darn play by play

That would be especially sweet especially after hearing so many talking about how Flacco has the best looking deep pass in the game.

Good news. And then we get Greene back on Thursday. Passing game should open up big time today, especially if we can get Yeldon going.
morning all

im in Portland so I have to hit a sports bar for this one

im thinking of driving to seattle  to see a seahawks game after the jags win

If we had a consistent pass rush, we could neutralize that. Unfortunately, Flacco will test our single man outside coverage, with Cyprien probably playing deep. I'm worried about it.
