Quote:Thank you for posting. I probably wouldn't have seen the article otherwise, although I'm sure it will get plenty of publicity. Can't wait to see the comments section of the Times-Union and the first post about how hard all this will be to move to London.

Anyone have any feel as to how this will be received by the City Council? With the Police/Fire pension mess I wonder if the Council feels it's politically safe to commit such large sums to Shad Khan (which is how it will be presented.) Someone call Ron Littlepage!

Also - hope I live long enough to see all this come to fruition. This city hasn't often been quick to jump into a brave new world.

The Metro Jacksonville crew is already all over this and they aren't happy...
All part of the master plan to move to London. Right?

Jacksonville doesn't need nice things like this. We jsut need to spruce up the Laura Street Trio and get some streetcars and we are back, baby!
I only have one question... is it big enough to hold the NFL Combine in?

Are they saying that the modifications to the club seating would be done by start of season 2016 too?  That seems pretty aggressive......but would be cool to happen.

Why not? Big Daddy Khan got freakin' pools installed in one offseason.

They gutted the north end zone, added the pools, cabanas and put up the world's two biggest video boards in one offseason. If Khan wasnt it done, it will be done.

And lets complain about the Town Center.
Anything that turns Littlepage into a babbling, slobbering, ranting and raving loon - I'm all for it.

Gotta keep the ice cream cool
We don't need all this mumbo jumbo at the expense of the tax payers.  Boston doesn't have these extravagant infrastructures, swimming pools and the biggest video screen in the world, yet the Patriots keep winning.

$45 million amphitheater?  lol ok

They also have Tom Brady. This is bigger than the Jaguars. Open your eyes.

Yes they do. They built Patroit Place around their stadium for the low cost of 350 million. It is their "super regional lifestyle and entertainment center".

That's what I take from it.

And the NCAA title game.

And to host the Pro Bowl.

And host a BCS Bowl.

And be considered for the Combine.

Face it, Khan has vision and does not put limits on what he can accomplish. Why can't Jacksonville host another Super Bowl and not act like they're lucky to have it? Why can't they be a place where the NCAA wants to have their title game?
