Wow. I must've missed something when I was following basketball back then. Why did the NBA 'hate the Bulls'?

I hate to tell you, but the Bulls were nowhere close to the best team in NBA history. Not even close. Perhaps you've year of the Boston Celtics? 11 titles in 13 years, 17 total. They 'won all the time'. Why did the NBA 'let' them win so many? Same with the Lakers with 16 titles. Why were they 'allowed' to win so many? Or is there some special hatred for the city of Chicago? Who, by the way, only have 6 titles. This is all very confusing.
