Tyronn Lue named head coach of the Eastern Conference All Star team after coaching three games.

It's completely obvious that everything he is saying after games was fed to him by Lebron James.

This latest coach firing due to an unhappy player further affirms my idea that the Head Coach in the NBA is no longer an authority figure, and I feel like that is to the League's discredit.

Organizations need perspectives from the big picture regarding both strategy (the GM) and tactics (the Head Coach), and when the Head Coach is restricted from making moves via this point of view, the overall product is lessened. Who knows, maybe Blatt was just a lame duck placeholder who knew nothing about coaching basketball. I guess that is a possibility. But regardless of that, I think the League is better off when the inmates are not allowed to run the asylum.

I can see how there are positives to both sides actually....everyone knows that the top players are controlling the coaches and their firings so why don't we just let Lebron be a player coach?  Let him prove that he's not very good at it and maybe he'll settle down and leave the guys alone.  Then again, he probably already knows he wouldn't be able to do it so as long as the coaches coach and he can use them as a mouth piece he's more than happy to move forward with that. He found a guy in Ty Lou that seems comfortable in being that guy.

I just think that it's bad for the League overall if you have people who the majority are <30 years old, with little to no management experience making career and organization altering decisions. I guess that make me Old Fashioned.

My God. Durant, Curry, Thompson, and Green? That wouldn't even be fair.

That would be incredible to be able to see Durant feed off of Curry. Is it bad that I want to see that happen just to stick it to the OKC Top Brass?

Where have you been?
Love my Pistons! Looking way better this year than the previous, what almost 10 years???

First 30 games, 17-13

Since, 4-15

Complete turnaround, it's been hard to watch. And in those first 30 games they lost 4-5 games in OT that could have gone the other way pretty easily. I am not sure what isn't clicking right now. Complete fall off.

And three more games before the break, not easy ones either. Atl, Atl, SA. Yuck

At the beginning of that streak Payton was out for quite a few, and Vucevic missed some, have not gotten back on track since.
Crazy stat I seen a few days ago.

Dirk Nowitzki has more defensive rebounds than Shaq,Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing.

Hanging my head in shame.
The Knicks have fired Derek Fisher.

What a dumpster fire organization.

And still one of the top 5 most valuable franchises in all of sports. It's like winning doesn't even matter...
Looks like Tibs is going to be the new Knicks coach..great hire if true.
New York should dump Melo too and just build around Porzingis.

He's Andre Kilirekeno 2.0

Other than being from a similar part of the world, I'm trying to figure out how you can say this halfway through a guys rookie year.  Kirilenko had a few good years in the league and then kind of faded, I'm sure you know that's the same thing that will happen to Porzingis already.
Maybe I need slapped, call me crazy, dumb, stupid etc, But...........I kinda want Dwight back in Orlando now that Houston is officially shopping him.
