Quote:could have had Corn Cobb and McCourty if he would have just backed up the brinks truck.
nope. they took less dollars to stay with winners.

to SOME people, money isn't everything.

Especially if you go to a Superbowl, which both those guys are likely to do, and then get those playoff and SB bonuses.
Its more likely we find another speed demon wr before Lee becomes a valuable contributor to this franchise, I'm over that guy

Oh it's always about $$$$$, brother

exactly, @Stroud

just overpay for the guy. I mean really overpay and make that dude come to your team

Quote:House and Brown should also be on the Bad list
whaaaa?

House essentially shut down Big Mike Evans... he might actually be our best press man corner.

Brown has played well when available.

you don't know what you are talking about.

you can't put injuries on Caldwell and injuries don't really make a FA a bad signing (unless they've got a track record)

Yea we tried for cobb and mccourty

This kind of surprises me. I understand guys wanting to be loyal, but in this cutthroat industry, you need to make what you can make before it's over. Revis has the right mentality for the NFL. He doesn't care if he plays for a winner or loser as long as he gets the most.

Super Bowl rings aren't going to pay the bills if everything goes south later in life. Not implying these guys will be broke, but it has happened once or 500 times before.

We might really do that this offseason since we have less holes to fill. Just overspend for what we really need you know what i mean

that isn't smart business dude... it just isn't... Cobb and McCourty weren't making us a SB team this year...

can't give those guys a break the bank deal....

not a team trying to dig out of the cellar
House is a liability. Dude is more injury prone than almost any player I ever did see. I mean seriously. Dehydration, dry lungs, hip pointer...SMH

what's next with this guy?

I think we are closer to "Breaking teh bank" this offseason then last offseason cuz we should start being at wildcard by next year if coaching is right

So you're saying guys don't care if they win? Wow.

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. This is a job man. Revis would have stayed with the Patriots if that were the case.

Not saying all guys don't care about winning.

He also has the second most pass breakups In the nfl. so he's obviously out there enough to be near the top of that list.

He's not interested in an actual debate. Obvious troll.
Because they always throw at him. Dude is being overrated by you all

I dunno man.. some guys are smart about it. Cobb knows his shelflife is roughly 10-15 years. He is on contract 2 now got paid a good amount, could be in the playoffs every season for the next 2 or 3, possible win a SB, and then get a monster contract and sit fat.

Or he could've bailed... took the money, stats took a hit, not sniff the playoffs and then 3rd contract might not be so great, probably going to another mediocre team, because SB contenders rarely make big splashes.

Revis takes the money because that is who he is. He wants the dollars and doesn't care about winning.

Some guys want to win, want the glory, the fame, and money comes second.

Some guys manage to find a flex between the two.

I agree... most football players should take the money, your career could be over tomorrow. But some guys know that 8 million is enough, and instead of being greedy going for 12, they stay with Brady or Rodgers... and they probably get fancy jewelry instead of helping build a winner....

suppose it is a matter of tastes...of sorts

Not every player is the same. Revis has been known to just want the best contract throughout his career. Other players will take less to stay withe their team. Yeah maybe if you severely overpay for a guy like Cobb like make him the highest paid receiver he would've accepted but that's just wasting money on a guy that isn't the top player. It might be nice now but if you continuously do that it will come back to bite you in a couple years.

just look at our defense. Look at Slowby. look at the offensive line. if you don't get it, you don't know football more than likely.
