Where'd your buddies go, Stroud?  You're drowning here...

I don't feel like I need to explain improvement on a team that has actually gotten worse every year Gus Bradley has been the HC. It is as simple as that.

I can see clearly now the rain is gone...

Quote:People (not necessarily saying you) keep preaching improvement. I don't see improvement. That is what I personally do not believe people are seeing "clearly".

2013 first quarter of the season

KC 28 - Jax 2

Jax 9 - Oak 19

Jax 17 - Sea 45

Ind 37 - Jax 3

Not a single game was close.

2014 first quarter of the season

Jax 17 - Phil 34
- Note... this game should have been won.

Jax 10 - Was 41

Ind 44 - Jax 17

Jax 14 - SD 33

So looking at the past two seasons in the first quarter of the season, the Jaguars were 0-4 both seasons, and were pretty much "blown out" in each game.

2015 first quarter of the season

Car 20 - Jax 9
- Note... this game should have been won.

Mia 20 - Jax 23

Jax 17 - NE 51

Jax 13 - Ind 16
- Note... another game that should have been won.

We can bring up the stats of those games if you want to.  I see improvement.  Jaguars staying in games, keeping it close and not getting blown out certainly looks like improvement to me.
Ok realists, have a great weekend.  I'll be cheering hard for our sucky team this sunday, which only the "realists" can apparently clearly see that they've sucked, and hope we see some improvement.  I'll chat with you sweethearts next week.

Go Jags!

Gotten worse?  Compare what I posted above.  Better record and closer games.  Is that not improvement?

Let me correct that for you since we are talking about the first quarter of the season.

2013: 0-4

2014: 0-4

2015: 1-3

I am even willing to look past that and just the fact we could actually be leading the division after the first quarter of the year. This team is mentally weak. The next 2 weeks are huge.
Quote:Yes, it is a joke. You have to find humor in how bad this team is to remain sane. Take this guy for instance. He is smiling, but is he really happy?

is that FBT?
Quote:Lets be honest guys. Most of you are just followers, which probably translates to your personal and professional life as well. You refuse to form strong opinions of the franchise until the franchise decides to make a move, then you hop on board.

I refuse to live like a sheep. I'm sorry you do./

I love when this one gets dusted off every few seasons.

Look at the guy over his left shoulder shaking his head in disbelief.

Look at the guy in the back trying to explain what just happened to his buddy who looks like he regretted going to the game in the first place.

The guy to his right who looks like Phillip Seymore Hoffman looks like he is envious because he wanted to get up and do the same thing but got beat to the punch.

We could (and should) be leading the division but you see no improvement? Something about that doesn't work.

So what you are saying is that there is improvement?

Hey, man, he's on a roll.
Lunch was great at Olive Garden and now I'm fueled to brawl on the internet.

You don't like pasta, bread-sticks, and soup? ARE YOU A HUMAN?!
Must Win? NO

Should Win? YES

Will Win? LIKELY,, but "Any Given Sunday"

Jags and Bucs are actually not that far apart from each other.

- JAGS: In year 3 of rebuild (2nd year QB)

- BUCS: In year 2 of rebuild (1st year QB)

The Jags are a year ahead of the Bucs. It shows in their level of play. Although not very good, they're not getting smashed around and thumped consistently like they were last year and 2 years ago (Pats game not withstanding).

The Bucs look like the Jags did last year. Somewhat capable at times,, but getting smashed around and thumped most frequently.

This one is not a "Must Win." Knowing the Jags, it'll be a tight game with a team they should be better than. But, really,,,, will anyone actually be surprised if the Bucs win? Seriously? I wouldn't be.

I can make the equivalent by buying a can of Chef Boy, some frozen bread sticks and a can of Campbell's soup.  Everyone knows that if you want real Italian food you must go to Enza's or Buca di Beppo.
