Assuming they are even at the game...We have guys who like to throw stones all the way across the country on here.

Quote:You know, i'm starting to see the issue here. You guys don't understand sarcasm, humor, or just plain joking around. So weeks and weeks of passionate team bashing by the usual suspects and it's all a joke? Classic. You guys are such clowns, it's pathetic.
Quote:No one is defending that the team sucks. No one. Sorry for your comprehension issues.
What is being said is that there are postives. Negatives to, absolutely, but some don't feel like wallowing in mysery over a team we follow for fun. If it makes you so negative and angry, why watch it? My real feeling is there are a lot of really young posters on here who are very emotionally immature.

Quote:The positives are the players, there are a lot of good young players on the team.I'm not defending Gus, i think he needs to go. At the end of the season, not now, assuming the team continues to lose.
So why are we losing? That leaves the coaching staff, specifically the head coach, because he's where the buck stops. Are you happy with Gus as head coach? Do you need more time to decide? If the Jags lose to the Bucs (the premise of this thread) will you still be OK with the coaching staff? Will Khan?
From my point of view Gus has already shown that he's a failure. Win or lose, the Bucs game is immaterial to my opinion. That doesn't mean I want him fired. In fact, as I said before, if we lose to the Bucs then it's too late to expect replacing him to make us a playoff contender. In that case the Jags might as well keep him for the rest of the season.
Quote:Ok about the actual game it, it will be interesting to see if we can keep up our strong run D. Doug Martin is running hard this year but their line is pretty bad so I expect us to do a good job. I'm worried that we will play Ice Cream zone defense and give Jameis time to make a ham sandwich in the pocket while choosing which wide open receiver to throw too. This seems pretty accurate to me. If we can get TDs in the redzone, i think we can win. If not, we probably lose.
Frankly, we should be able to have success against their defense. They are near the bottom of the league against the run. Their pass defense is ranked high, but they give up a ton of passing touchdowns and they have looked weak in the secondary any time I've seen them. Bortles should have a nice game, but unless he and the offense convert in the red zone, it will be another frustrating day.
The Jags really should win this game, but I know better than to actually pick them. I predict a frustrating game that is decided by a coaching mistake or bad penalty from the refs. Since we have a doofus coach and the refs have hated us for years, I predict the Jags end up on the wrong side.
20-17 Bucs.
