When Buffalo hired Roman and 49er fan had this to say about Roman.

"I will not miss Roman at all, constant issues with getting play calls in that lead to unnecessary time outs and/or delay of game penalties, unimaginative passing game, inability to make half time adjustments, predictability and an inability to develop a quarterback, all became hallmarks of the Roman lead offense in the last 4 years."

How does that remind you of? lol

On January 10, 2013, the Jaguars terminated Mularkey after only one season. He had led the team to a 2–14 record. Mularkey had two years remaining on a three-year contract. However, Jacksonville Jaguars General Manager David Caldwell, who had been hired on January 8, 2013, decided that the Jaguars needed "an immediate and clean restart" after winning only seven games in the past two season.

Hmmm, what is Gus Bradley's record again...

I've been saying you can't say fire Gus Bradley & not then question GM Dave Caldwell....

Context.

When you "clean restart" from top to bottom and gut the entire roster how many games do you expect to win? This is the year we should see wins, not last year or the year before. We've been close but we haven't seen those wins yet and that's why Gus is on the hot seat. Not because of last year.

Quote:"To be quite honest with you we may have won more games than I anticipated when I first took the job over the two year period. I was very honest with Shad where we were at. He knew even before I interviewed where we were at. When we hired Gus I told him exactly where we were at from a talent standpoint and that we were going to do this with youth," Caldwell told reporters when asked about the win total the past two years.

Sumlin's offense works great for the college. But in the NFL, his QB will need a playbook.

Hue is intriguing. I like Goodwin, the OC in Arizona. He's worked under some of the best. Reich is San Diego works great too. Kyle Shanahan's offenses have been good. Finally, I'll just throw this name out there. George Godsey, the Texans OC. He has their offense as the 5th best in total offense with utter crap at QB. That's impressive. However, I'm not sure he has enough experience yet.

I'm pretty sure Al Golden should be available soon..
Steve Spurrier just "retired"...

Given the complaints people have about this team, hiring a college coach would be the height of insanity. Needs to be either a current/former head coach, or a strong OC/DC.

Merge candidate?  I think short attention spans want their comments to be on the first page or something.
Quote:I dont think Billl Cowher wants to come out of retirement to coach in Jacksonville, but if he did I would be happy about it.

Though they do say that the game changes a lot over the years...

I would be happy with Mike Shanahan, would love Bill Parcells or Joe Gibbs, Marty Schottenheimer, but I dont think any of those old guys are going to come back to coach.  Heck I would even take Jimmy Johnson...

Looking at current coaches I think Mike's son Kyle whos done a terrific job in Atlanta was the only one that made RG3 look good, would be great as a HC here.

Jim Harbaugh would be very high on my list if you could get him from Michigan... he could turn things around in his first year.
The 1990s called.  They want their head coach list back.

If Bud Carson hadn't been dead for ten years I was going to recommend him

In before someone says Gus only has 1 more win this season then Bud Carson.
Quote:Steve Sarkesian is available.

Sark, Boselli and Marqise Lee REUNITE !!!
Id rather have Bradley than Mike Smith

Fast Fact -> Ga Tech originated playing the Bud Song at the end of the 3rd quarter of games back in 1970 as a tribute to their head coach, Bud Carson.  That tradition still exists today and has been copied by Wisconsin and other schools.

Steve Spurrier is available....

He is going to coach High School football I thought?

Quote:We need a guy who has had success and failure as a HC in my opinion. No more coordinators or assistants.

No big name coaches will come here, but someone like Mike Smith would.
I think with Bortles showing he is realizing his potential, with Shad Khan showing he is willing to spend the money to get talent here, I think this job became a lot more appealing to a coach.
I am sure if you ask the 49ers fan base now how they feel I bet they'd like Greg Roman back....

Perhaps even as head coach.
Pat Patricia is appealing to me
