Quote:Why would losing gus set Bortles back? He doesn't call plays, he doesn't coach the offense, and he doesn't work on his mechanics.
A new HC would bring in a new OC who would bring a new system for Blake to learn
Quote:Fire Gus now? I'm against that. Let the season play out and let's see what happens
The third last thing I want is to have Blake have to learn a new system
The second last thing I want is to keep a HC that has proven he is in over his head
The last thing I want is to hire a new HC that proves he too is in over his head
Learning a new system excuse again. Like I said, when that becomes one of the reasons to keep the status quo, then you know you're in trouble.
9 points, 23 points, 17 points, and 13 points.
Yeah I really don't care if they have to "learn" a different system.
We are averaging 15.5 points per game. Which is right around what we have been averaging since Gus took over. The new offensive coordinator we hired came from the only team in the league that averaged less points per game than us.
Still want to keep going with the status quo?

Maybe that's exactly what Blake needs actually.
SuperJville, you're putting on a clinic in there
maybe you should be the HC
You don't keep the current HC just because a new one will bring in a new system. You keep your current HC if he's a winner...Gus is not.
Quote:When does the Owner get the chance to FIRE the FANBASE?
Maybe Shad should move this team to anywhere other than the CITY of CRYBABIES!
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
That is the sound of JagNation and they are PATHETIC as a Fanbase!
No need to fire the fanbase. Just keep on doing what you're doing and they'll just quit. They'll show the same heart the team has.
Quote:Learning a third system in three years when he's still trying to improve his mechanics and accuracy while dealing with a dick coach and fans who hate on him... Yeah, I think that has potential to ruin him.
Edit: Wait.. Why is "dick" allowed? I've had words preschoolers used removed before
Yeah. That sucks
Its silly to think this team would be "set back", since in order for anything to be set back you have to believe it's advancing forward. How is this team advancing forward with Gus? Have you seen any advancement after 3 years? I haven't.
Tom Coughlin was advancing forward in his second year with a bunch of rookies and other team's castoffs. Gus is still trying to get his guys to line up correctly.

Hey Gus...
Quote:Btw, I'm assuming Myers was caldwell's doing, not Bradley's. So you guys are blaming the wrong guy for yesterday's loss. And you can add that to the list of questionable things Caldwell has done since he got here, including hiring this coaching staff.
Would you rather pay a guy $3M to shank game-winning kicks, or pay a guy $500k non-guaranteed to do the same and be able to cut him loose once it's apparent that 24-of-38 actually
does mean something?
I didn't mean to imply McDaniels was a ground and pound guy. He's not. I just think of him as an outstanding OC but poor HC.
I want new blood. I want someone who recognizes that the passing game is where it is at. Our last 2 coaches were defensive guys who wants to pound the football. No more of that. There are some good OC's out there that love to throw it around. Go get one of them.
I would want a new head coach only if we end up with the number one pick in the draft next year, otherwise I would let Gus be on the hot seat starting 2016 season due to injuries this year. If we get the number one pick we should hire Greg Roman as HC and get Gus to take the DC job. Greg Roman can run the offense and we draft Jared Goff QB with the number one pick. If we pick outside of the top 10 we stick it out with Gus and let these players get healthy and go through one more draft and free agency and afterwards fire Gus is we don't start well in 2016. Not to mention Fowler comes back next year. Just a scenario.
My vote would be to let Marrone take over. Easier transition for Bortles. Knows the culture and the problems. Did a good job in Buffalo. Probably was brought in as an emergency option if "Two Scoops" flames out to begin with, so......
I started to think about GM Dave Caldwell in regards of the good and the bad he has done since taking the job, and I often wonder to myself how much of the good had more to do with Chris Polian Director of Player Personnel and former GM of the COLTs?

I believe marrone was brought in as a safety net as well. In case things didn't turn around and Gus needed to be fired.
Marrone did a good job in buffalo. The reason they cut ties was buffalos ownership was all in on ej Manuel and marrone didn't agree.
Now I'm not saying he is the answer, but I do think he's a backup plan.
Outaide of that I think the only candidates that could be viable and an upgrade would be Sean Payton, Todd Haley, or letting marrone take the job permanently.
Marrone was brought in by Bradley to be his own safety net.
LOL
We could have had Kelly!!
Ding.. Fries are done..

Exactly. Not to mention we got a draft pick out of it.
One of the better moves DC has made
Id rather keep bradley over some of these clowns that are being mentioned. Kiffin? Seriously?

you mean the guy many clots fans blamed for the demise of their roster?
