He's clearly in over his head... He comes out on Mondays talking about adjustments we should have made.... Well why the hell dont we ever make them IN GAME?
Says He didnt notice Arob was double covered, despite arob saying he was and Ohalleran noticing it too.
And the best part: he said out quarterback was ignoring reads to try to force the ball to the tight ends. What the hell kind of coaching is that? If the player is ignoring his coaching, it's up to the coaches to call them out IN GAME.
What are we paying these guys for, seriously?
I don't want to believe that Gus gave answers that are as stupid as you described.

Believe it. I'll just leave this one here too, without comment: https://twitter.com/ryanohalloran/status...8534625281
How can you have faith in the guy? He isn't calling plays, his sole job is to manage the overall flow of the game and he can't even do that right.

If I have to see a poll like this after every week we lose I may barf. This is a middle school level coping mechanism. Maybe express a more specific opinion rather than throwing your hands up and basically saying.. this guy sucks.. whaddya think? Does he suck? Who agrees with me?

We all knew what was probably going to happen even though we all had hope that it wouldn't but it did. Yes, we did not play well against the SUPER BOWL CHAMPS key word CHAMPS. We still have a ways to go so lets look toward INDY and just compete for the division. We have to keep our confidence high there is still a lot of season left.

This is the mentality I currently have as well... But, I'd be lying if I said I'm in serious doubt that Gus will have this team prepared and ready to compete for the AFCS title... And I'm beginning to think we're gonna see more of the same "game planning" we saw this week again next week at Indy...

Quote:https://twitter.com/vitostellino/status/...9368090624Eh, this just is further confirmation what everyone already knows - Gus is in over his head. It was a huge mistake on the part of Shad Khan to bring in both a rookie GM and a rookie HC to lead a complete rebuild of the roster - and do it primarily through the draft. With a young team you need an experienced coaching staff.

If you have a Brady or a Manning - sure, you can get away with inferior coaching because the talent and experience are already there. But with a young roster, and particularly a young QB like Bortles, you need a steady, calm force, a HC who is going to put your team in the best possible position to succeed.
It's not that Gus is evil or anything, he's simply in over his head. He lacks the work ethic and ability to be a HC in this league.

The biggest problem I have about the Patriots game is why on earth did he call that fake punt run?

Wait what? Why go away from who we are and what this team was built for? My head hurts

Gus reminds me of Del Rio but at least he shows emotion. We still have a lot of guys hurt on offense and defense and the ones that came back to play aren't 100%. The division is all at 1-2 and our stats have changed more than what they really are only b/c the NE game but you all know we are better than that. Not even counting coaches just as a team. Stats have Indy as a better team on paper and by numbers but we know once again thats not true either. I got an idea.

We would have more wins the last 2 years if we had stuck with Mularkey than with Gus. Yea Mularkey had the personality of a door knob, but at least there's a chance of him knowing what is actually going on in the game. How does Gus not know our best weapon is being doubled? Is he not watching the game? Does he even know the score? How can he possibly make adjustments if he doesn't even know what the other team is doing? Does he even try to make adjustments? Do we have a game plan other than "let's go out there and compete, and get better, and use this as an opportoony to see where we stand! We gotta feel it man, today is a perfect day to be great man! Don't worry about winning the wins will come as long as you go out there and enjoy yourselves man! Let's go out there and be the best Jay-gwires we can be man!"

Yeah. Like, I'm not about to say that Mularkey was a good coach, but if you truly think that Gus still deserves to be here, then you have to admit that Mularkey got a raw deal. No other way to look at it without being a hypocrite.

We "contained Gronk" too. He is blind and has extremely low standards for success. Bradley is indeed worse than Mularky.

There's still a chance that Gus wakes up, right?
There is that possibility, isn't there?

Mularkey had much better personnel.

There's a better chance that I wake up and this is all just a bad dream.
