Quote:The biggest problem I have about the Patriots game is why on earth did he call that fake punt run?

That was the least of his problems. It was 37-10 late in the 3rd quarter. At that point he had nothing to lose. I saw a lot I didn't like about Bradley's handling of the game, but that play wasn't one of them.

I wonder how well Belichick would have done with a gutted roster, a raw rookie/young QB and a struggling offensive line and a defense depleted with injuries....

We'd be 2-1 right now. We still would have lost to the patriots, but it wouldn't have been a 30 point blow out...

You don't give enough credit to how important coaching, game planning, and preparation is.

This first 2 years may have looked about the same.

But there is no doubt in my mind that a jaguar team coached by belicheat would have beat Carolina in week one. And we would not have looked so awful against the patriots.

Why do you think that would be so funny to extrapolate?

Because coaching wasn't the reason we lost to the Panthers and Patriots. Period.

I disagree.

A better coach has us prepared much better for week one. A better coach would have exploited the concussion to keuchley... with a better game plan and better in game adjustments, I think we beat the Panthers.

A better coach may not have beat the patriots, but I don't think we get blown out like we did.

But that's just my opinion. I don't think you can definitively say a strong wouldn't help us be 2-1 right now...

We'll just have to agree to disagree about the possible effect any coach would have.

Because if bad coaching caused a loss in week one, then good coaching helped win in week 2 when back ups to back ups were in the secondary.

And I don't believe that either.

I think players made plays, whereas they did not in week one.

Less mistakes helped us win in week 2 against a team that is just as bad as we are whereas the teams that are better than us, they just beat us and no coaching will fix that until our players are better, whether by getting better or getting replaced.
