Quote:Numbers don't win games. He also has really high int and sack numbers. He does not play smart and should have basic mechanics down on throwing a football. We should not be discussing blake struggles after 3 seasons.
Agreed. After that point, there should be no more struggles.
Like there were no conversations last offseason regarding Luck's struggles.
It isn't like there were reporters at any point asking if Brady would be replaced....

I don't ever recall Packer fans ever questioning whether Aaron Rogers still had "it" either.

The point is not that Blake is or will be remotely as good as these guys, 2 of them certain HOFers.
The point is that QB's have off years, and frequently come back from them to play at their former level, and are constantly the focus of questions...becasue they're QB's. Not to mention that guys take off at different points, too. They didn't draft Rivers in SD because they knew Brees was going to be what he is...
That last year in SD for Brees looked a lot like Blake's stat line, really. 24 TD's. 15 INT's.
Also, one thing that continues to just puzzle me is the ongoing harping on "garbage time" stats, without any recognition of the double-edged sword that comes with playing in that circumstances. Frankly, you can see someone's agenda who fails to acknowledge this.
DB's sitting on routes. DL ears pinned back, knowing it's a throw every down. No threat of a run, anyway. DC's dreaming up ways to creatively make something happen......with no real repercussion.
Hey, Blake's got a lot of faults, but let's not pretend that he's been in a situation geared for success.
A look at the last 2 games showed a guy with a weight lifted off his shoulders, if you ask me. The ball came out better. Suddenly there ARob is All World again. A running game materializes....these are not coincidences, in my view.
