Im gonna be mad about Capo Capi for a very long time

Quote:Which is why some of us disagreed with the Monroe trade, and the usual lemmings spewed the rhetoric, but in hindsight the obvious came to fruition.

With Monroe here the Jags would be contenders!!!
Quote:No surprises so far.

Time to convert Sterling into a move TE.
I Concur... Whatever it takes to keep this young talented man is a must. As I've watched him progress through the lesser college ranks and the little that we've seen him at the next level, He's A Keeper in my opinion...

NH3...
Quote:If they wanted Sterling they wouldn't be shopping around.

I think they would need to file a waiver claim and hope no one else did the same. That is because they are last in the waiver order. So it's not as simple as just claiming the guy.
Quote:They were talking yesterday about him possibly being on the bubble.

He's not there, yet. But closer than some would have ever imagined.

Perception always follows reality. And some are in for a reality check.
who were talking about McCray being on the bubble?
Quote:What I found interesting was Nick Marshall saw hardly no time at corner Thursday night. It looks as if he is not going to be cut so I wonder if they are hiding him. I only saw him out there a few times with the majority of snaps going to Harris, McCray, and Reynolds.

It wouldn't surprise me if he makes the 53 and then is the first cut after things settle down and other teams have solidified their rosters.

It just seemed weird to me that we were low on DBS Thursday night and he hardly played there.

We really see things differently as it seemed to me Marshall was in there for most of the game. I kept seeing him get beat left and right, although you could say the same about Harris and Rashaad Reynolds all preseason long, the difference being that Marshall doesn't even attempt to make plays on the ball and is rarely in position to even try for a tackle. It's looking like Marshall will make the top 53, but I really don't see why. Aside from having some raw speed, I see nothing in him as a CB.

ITs not about what he is doing now, Its about what he can do later when developed. Making a play on the ball in the air can be coached. Speed can't.
Quote:I'm not suggestion we should cut McCray... In fact, I think he's one of our top 2 corners.

But if that is the case, why in the hell would they play him so much and have him cover kicks and punts?

Maybe he is being "punished" for something that wasn't made public.

Either way, seeing someone cover kickoffs and punts in game 4 of preseason with a bunch of scrubs around him doesn't give me confidence that this coaching staff likes him.

I do think all of this is a sign that the starters are Colvin and House, but I wouldn't read much more into it. They really like McCray and want him on the field as much as possible. With his athleticism and him not starting, it makes sense that he's a core ST guy as well.

Quote:Just noticed Prosinski was released by Philly, maybe we could pick him up?

Pros is not much different than Evans and Loston. They're all just guys. Keep scanning that wire.

I wouldn't worry much about Sterling or Capi being claimed. At nfl.com they listed the notable cuts around the league, and the only former Jaguars player listed was Storm. I have to say, I haven't seen a RB look as bad as Storm since watching that guy the Colts traded a first round pick for who was just released by the Raiders.

Quote:Neither Joeckel nor Cyprien have played anywhere close to their draft positions. Sanders and Harris are already gone. Gratz and Evans are just journeymen. If McCray is really on the bubble then all that's good from the 2013 draft is Denard Robinson.

Everyone please stop! McCray is NOT on the bubble.

its funny that some people think one of our best players are on the bubble lol

I was kind of hoping they'd keep Capi over Branch, but I guess they see something in Branch that I don't.

Monroe would be nice but if the Jags didn't make the trade ... there would be no Aaron Colvin and Chris Smith
Have we passed the deadline now?
