Never mind Cam had ankle surgery, a broken rib, and was in a serious car wreck. Nah....he sucks.
What was his excuse during his other seasons as his stats were trending downward?
Quote:You QB had the worst QBR in the league. Where is he in your QB ranking? Gotta be around RG3 and Manziel.
We know where our QB stands at the moment. There's no need to get defensive and bash Bortles because reality is starting to hit you and your precious Cam.
Cam won't throw for 200 yards guys, don't worry. Better rely on your running game.

Where did I say Cam sucked.

The last time he was healthy (the year before last) we were 12-4. He doesn't need an excuse

I didn't ask about your team's record, I asked about Cam's performance. I can't blame you for trying to change the subject, though.

Seriously....can you guys not have a conversation without making backhanded, sarcastic comments the whole time?
Cam single handily won 4-5 of those games.
Your ESPN stats and coverage won't tell you that though.

Whoa there buddy, I never said he sucked! In fact, I think he's pretty average! :woot:

Forgive me for doubting you, but I'll believe the stats before I believe a message board fan when it comes to a statement like that. Still, the continual excuses for the guy aren't changing my perception of him as the Jay Cutler of the NFCS.
This thread was entertaining catching up.

"This is a great opening match for the members of the Panthers’ front seven who are either banged up or inexperienced. The Jaguars’ offense has been dreadful in recent years, and last year with then-rookie quarterback Blake Bortles they averaged just 289 yards per game, which was second-worst in the league. They added Julius Thomas, who should provide a good matchup with Thomas Davis. The Jags’ defense could be worse. They lost their best defensive tackle in Red Bryant and their first-round pick (Dante Fowler Jr.) is out for the season with a torn ACL. Maybe coach Gus Bradley will finally get things turned around this season after three years and just nine wins, but there’s not a lot of optimism in the stadium that took out seats for fans and put in pools to help avert eyes from what’s on the field."
They still love us!
He doesn't seem to be aware of the status of Julius Thomas either.
Neither team had a winning record last year. Let's wait until the game is over before we get too excited. Believe it or not, both teams could end up sucking.
Quote:That's in no particular order, but yeah. Joe Flacco did have one of the most impressive post-season performances seen in the NFL, and got his team a ring. Eli has two rings. What does yours have?

Cam's toilet has a ring... That's pretty close....
Win or lose, I'll be happy to be rid of these clowns as they go troll their next opponent
Quote:They don't have anybody on offense. Our defense will match up well.
Bortles hopefully will still be on fire.
Jags 27
Panthers 24
I hope the Defense can get at Cam because if given time he might light up the Dbs. That will be the Jaguars Defensive goal of the game to stop the run & force Cam to win with his arm.
The Jaguars Offense has to establish the run being that is Carolina's Defense biggest weakness and might be the Jaguars biggest strength GRANTed!
Quote:I know you guys have been screwed when it comes to quarterbacks, but Bortles isn't your qb of the future. He's just the guy
you have to live with right now.
Wait what? These Panthers fans are drunk. I'm still confused by these morons. Do they even watch football outside of Carolina? I've never seen delusional fans crash our boards like this before. I can't wait until we win, so they dissappear..
Excited to see some regular season Jaguars football. I have the Panthers squeaking by in this one as the Jags D-Line hasn't given me enough confidence just yet to believe they'll be consistent enough to stop the run.
If the Jags pull it off it'll take a positive turnover ratio and better play vs. the run than I saw in the preseason.
Just might be a great game!
Gus Bradley hinted to a possible D-Rob option pass play in the playbook, interesting...
I expect a lot of Zone Deep Blitzs called against Cam Newton's Panthers, 3 zone deep when its not an obivious run play which would be the 46 or 4-3 under in most cases.
The Jaguars offense will probably be a lot of play action passes utlizing two or three TEs in some cases, throwing off the Panthers Defense to stack the line with defenders while a guy like Clay Harbor can go deep and get open
(but can he catch the ball is the question)?
I think the Jaguars catch the Panthers off guard and the Jaguars win by 20 points!
Quote:Joe Flacco and Eli Manning? Hahahaha.....this is awesome
Flacco has had proven success in the Playoffs recently, but Eli's SBs happened long ago and he's not quite the same qb. I'll give you Cam > Eli.
