As frustrating as this is, it doesn't take away from how effective Bortles and the offense have been. Just trying to stay positive.

Quote:I know all teams have injuries, but every time something good happens it never ceases to fail that bad news is right around the corner. Our #1 pick is out for the year and our huge free agent acquisition probably won't play until week 5. Ughhhh!!!!

4-5 weeks would put him back around game 3-4.

Regardless, Blake's success has been without him so far, he'll only be a bonus when he comes back
If we can get Lee back for the Panthers, that would take some of the sting out of this. I'm just hoping he won't be rusty.

I'm guessing you wait to see if it heals on its own, and when it doesn't, you get the surgery.

You forgot our best defensive player in Sen'Derrick Marks will be in street clothes too.

And now we are relying on a rookie kicker.
Quote:Aw man I hope everyone who was saying Julius is soft and just wanting money isn't true

Yes, because soft guys require surgery to repair damaged ligaments.

If it's ligament damage, it will require surgery.  Still, not catastrophic.  The offense has been doing okay without him.  Marcedes has clearly stepped up his game.  The team will survive this.

Oh no.......I would like to welcome Denver fans loving this. Do you guys remember. 1996. I do
One finger huh...?

DR#2 - Your okay to play we can reevaluate after season, JT - No way DR#1 said I need surgery..!!!

Wow, we as HS and College players used to play with taped broken fingers the whole season... My fingers all made it just fine...!

Tendon Surgery, geezz, really, over analyze everything these days..!

If he were a real man he would go Ronnie Lott on that finger.   :teehee:

Gus gets another pass for a losing season. This one hurts. I was hoping for an 8-8.

When I heard this I thought... Of course he's out longer...#becausejaguars
Man.... I was scared it was going to need surgery, as soon as he went down in the preseason game I told my wife he'll be out several weeks. Blah.

Yup.

The gamble being if it heals on it's own, then no time missed and no surgery needed.

Get the surgery immediately and you miss a game or two anyway.

Funny stuff.  Feel free to make your way down to the Modis Building.

At the end of the day, this team succeeds or fails based on what the QB does.  A good QB will find a way to win regardless of who is catching the football.

We can't have nice things.
Wells Fargo bound...

Jesus guys, get a grip.

We have good young guys, we just can't get them all out on the field at once.  It's frustrating, but it can be overcome. First we'll get Lee back, then Thomas, then next year Fowler. The arrow can only point up.

Next man up!

Exactly.

If Blake Bortles is going to be as good as people expect him to be, who is catching passes will quickly become irrelevant.  The great ones elevate the play of those around them.
