I am truly hoping he gets his injunction and plays until week 13 or 14 then gets suspended. The Pats make the playoffs and get blown out in round 1.

I used to have a lot of respect for Brady, despite his continual demolishing of the Jags. It's getting harder and harder to justify that respect anymore

Even ESPN had a good laugh at Brady's expense regarding his cell phone explanation/s. What a joke.

There was no evidence. Tom Brady was the only NFLPA employee (union) as such the nfl was NEVER going to get full access to his phone without direct coordination with the PA. originally they intimated that they just wanted electronic correspondance pertinent to the investigation if it existed. Brady has provided them that. Mind u, this was still part of a blind goosechase. At no time did the nfl or wells say we believe on x day that brady messaged this person or that person and we cant find a record.
They also had the electronic devices of every non NFLPA employee including the head coach. In all this time they havent produced a single shred of evidence to support Brady as the head of some conspiracy.
The categorization that brady was out back smashing his phone with a rock is silly. Brett favre didnt turn over his phone in the investigation of a case based solely on his phone conduct. Thos focus on the physocal phone is moving the goal posts.

What makes no sense to me is the statement that they need his phone to see the text messages. Not true, at least not any more. Assuming this goes to court now, a Subpoena can be issued to get the text records from his provider. Perhaps the NFL couldn't do that before but if this goes to court Brady's texts should be available. If he is hiding something going to court could backfire.

You're absolutely right. St. Tommy is an angel and has been completely forthright and helpful in this investigation.
Oh...and I'm the Pope.

Lol, you're grasping at straws now. I absolutely destroyed a Patriot fan at work yesterday using Byron LeftTwon's discussion points from this thread (thank you.)
He ended the discussion with only, well this really isn't a big deal and they have blown it out of proportion. Totally forgetting that if Brady was honest and upfront with all the information he would be fine.
Oh, his best point was that every 8 months Tommy destroys his cell phone. Why was this one only destroyed at 4 months? People keep making the point that the NFL didn't need the cel phone for the text data, which is completely untrue. The NFL does not have the power to subpoena phone records.
I really hope Tommy and the boys don't lie under oath.

As far as their record goes this season. New England will find a way...to cheat

Do the research; Goodell and the NFL went to the phone company and they said they couldn't retrieve what was in the data

Pats' nonchalance regarding player extensions can be attributed to their cheating ways. When you're exploiting the game, you can afford to let players walk because the field is always in your favor.

Brady lied to the investigators. This makes him culpable for discipline even if no proof of guilt is ever found. The cover-up is often worse than the crime - ask Martha Stewart. Innocent people have no need to lie, cover up, or destroy potential evidence. Whatever Brady did or didn't do regarding air in footballs, he has acted guilty from Day 1 and perjured himself during the investigation. His answers were arrogant and his lies clumsy.

And for the record, they have the cell phones of the two attendants. If there was any electronic communication between brady and those two it would have been on one of their phones. This is a political witch hunt plain and simple. And it should be noted, the NFL and Rodger Goodell through their preemptive actions deciding the venue for this hearing in Manhattan and the seating of Goodell himself hearing the appeal have been more proactive in confirming this suspension than in any prior engagement be it ray rice, greg hardy or the like.
It certainly smells of a God-El vengeance. The appeal was not handled professionally. It was obviously a kangaroo "court." How dare anyone appeal the King's ruling, and not bow and kiss the ring.
So, basically... God-El was going to sit on his original decision and had planned to ignore everything in the appeal from the beginning. Yet another waste of everyone's time and resources.

<p style="margin-left:40px;">"Although the text messages couldn’t be retrieved directly from Brady’s phone, his agents provided all of the phone numbers with which Brady exchanged text messages. His agents also said that the league could attempt to get the actual text messages from the phones of the people with whom Brady communicated, but the league refused to attempt to try, claiming that it would be too hard to track down the various people and to persuade them to cooperate."
So the truth is, they had every means but just didn't bother. Why? God-El never wanted the truth, he wanted Brady just as Ahab pursued his whale, and no amount of evidence was going to get in his way.
But... at least he's kept the NFL in the news during the dead zone. So, mission accomplished?
All because he's petty, and butthurt that someone dared to actually stand up to him. And once again, he jumped to a conclusion without having all the information. A growing pattern of his.
He's certainly no Tagliabue. It's been stumble, after misstep, after attempted cleanup, after stumble and misstep yet again by this clown. Enough is enough.

Pats should be forced to move to London....

Or just Anti-Goodel?
I've never been fond of Goodel or how he handles things. But the Cheatriots and Tom are getting what they deserve.
And it is very likely that despite missing Tom for 4 games, they will still make the playoffs.
Tom is fighting this to try to save some face. He wants to remain the Golden Boy.
It's too late.
But as long as he has people hanging on his jock...
He's still one of (or THE) greatest to play.
He's just a lying cheating punk.
That's OK. It takes all kinds of kinds. He just needs to own up to it and take his lumps like everyone else. He is not beyond the reach of the Almighty Commish.
The one the NFLPA agreed to give almighty power to in the most recent CBA.
Because, ya know... Tom and those guys wouldn't ever be effected by it.
And ya know... no one cares about the Blackmons and Gordons of the NFL.

You'd be amazed at the hoops companies will jump through when faced with a Subpoena that they won't do just based on a simple request.

I'm just ready for football. Deflategate has been an amusing offseason distraction. It'll be interesting to see how Deflategate affects teams going forward. We know there's fresh bad blood between Pats/Colts and Pats/Ravens. There may be other grudges we don't know about. A lot of other owners backed Goodell through this process.
It'll be interesting to see how Brady handles a regulation football, how he handles the tarnished reputation, how he handles taunts of CHEATER by opposing players and fans. I'm not certain he'll have his usual success. The other teams in the AFCE have some monster defenses.
But mostly I just really want to see the Jags play well, win some games early, and be a factor in the division race.

More nonesense. Ask the seahawks. When u cant adjust your talkingpoints to fit reality what can i say?

And again with moving the goal posts, first they say we didnt want to invade his privacy we just wanted texts on this matter. They have the devices of every patriots non nflpa employee INCLUDING THE COACH! Now they say its too hard to track down everyone he texted with? So now jazell deflated footballs? What about the kids? What was in thrir sand box i say.
And were supposed to believe that the conmish that now wants to be this thurough about an equipment violation never looked at the video tape of ray rice wheb voice wvidence confirms it arrived at the league office?

Doesnt "jazell" involve some diamonds and ladies private parts?
Even for the Patriots that's a bit of a ridiculous argument
