One item i forgot to mention for marketing the Jags is improving the city of Jacksonville. Shad has great vision for the shipyard a stone throw away from the stadium. Give people who live away from the city more of a reason to come Jacksonville. Not only a great game of football but enjoy the entire weekend with more entertainment.

Yes they are.

 

They also don't adversely impact the on field product the way your suggestions potentially do.

 

I had a similar disdain for the Tebow suggestions.

 

Football people need to make football decisions, not marketing decisions.

And the pools are neither a player or a coach. How does this relate to your brilliant 'ideas'?

I was asking for ways to improve marketing, they were items that other teams have done or considered. They are clearly not my ideas being the Rams, and Cowboys tried the Sam thing and failed. The Spurs tried with success on the female thing. They are mere examples/suggestions. Same is an NFL bust two teams proved that and his attitude in the CFL only confirmed it. You guys are pulling the Donald Trump and attacking people instead of answer the above question. It is odd to me that you want to attack a fellow Jag fan, starting to sound like bitter Raiders fans. Look through all my post you wont see me belittling or attacking over peoples posts/comments regardless of what they may have said. I in turn give an MY opinion with out an attack on theirs.

I respect your thinking. I just feel like Lamping/Khan n co. have done a great job of expanding the fanbase AND REVENUE across the pond.


...not to mention I have a cousin right there in J-Ville whose favorite thing to say is "the jacksonville aguars".. he would add a letter to that word, and it aint lady j.


So i cant say id be a big fan of the sam approach. im pretty sure that would send my cuz fave phrase nationwide

You're suggesting bringing in Michael Sam as a way to improve the fan base and then you also say he's a bust and can't make it in the NFL. You really think that would add fans? Color me confused.

Read my post above it has facts. Jags are doing things to improve marketing. How do you think a team who have won only 9 out of 48 games have averaged being 21st out of 32 teams in season ticket sales in the last 3 years. Did you also catch the poll last year that rated Jags at top of game day experience? And last but not least Khan is putting his money where his mouth is on the investment of Riverbank development. C'mon man what more does the guy have to do marketing wise. It is now up to the team to just win baby win. FYI you are on wrong forum if you think you are not going to get attacked for your opinion. These people on here are brutal and get personal. Just sayin stay out of the kitchen if you don't want to get burned. Welcome to the Jungle. Go Jags.

Don't need Hunter we already have Blackmon for that! Granted different kind of criminals but still criminals non the less.

They're not very marketable because they're not winning very many games. Simple as that.

 

Winning is the greatest remedy, and I feel we're on the cusp of reeling in the W's. Gimmicks are not a sustainable means of putting fans in the stands, if this is what we're really talking about.

Good idea. I think adding wifi to stadium would be good too. Maybe adding a lounge type atmosphere with scantily clad dancers. Oh Oh considering stadium upgrades that cost tens of millions every other year including maybe a stadium cover to give fans some shade would be good marketing to. Sorry to pile on Browntrouser but marketing is something the Jags have been doing and it shows. As Vic used to say quoting famous Raider owner "Just Win Baby Win"

Let this guy worry about marketing:



 

He's doing a great job.  He's managed to increase ticket sales amidst a horrible drought of wins.  Just think what he'll do when the Jags get their act together on the field. 

 

There's nothing wrong with this fanbase that wins won't fix.
