The straw that broke the camel's back

change the coaches = same old Jaguars

change the GM = same old Jaguars

change the players = same old Jaguars

change the owner = same old Jaguars

Not sure what has to change but this team has played like garbage for 7 years in a row.

Quote:First of all Gus isn't gone. Why does everyone expect such a major turn around with 0 talent. We are working on building a team and it will just take time. Week after week there is some thread that wants Gus fired or bashing on Bortles. Everyone expected one week off will turn this team around. It will take time.
exactly Gus is a defensive coach, and the defense if pretty good, we just have way too much young guys on offense, year two is when most young players show the most improvement thats when the game slows down.

We wont know anything until week 8 of next year, if we still suck, then start firing people

It doesn't take that long to figure out if someone sucks or doesn't suck, as a player or a coach.

There needs to be significant upgrades in our coaching staff this offseason. Gus can have another year but he better produce a miraculous turnaround

Gus is responsible for the entire team, that's what a head coach does. He isnt the d coordinator. His offensive staff is attrocious. Those were HIS hires.

And Gus doesnt even call defensive plays. So im not sure what he's doing besides cheerleading on mondays and wednesdays.

The defense is not "pretty good"

Defense is okay. They just get the wind suck out of them with this horrible offense. No defense can stay out on the field for 2/3rd of the game and not give up scores.

A three and out offense will always deplete your a defense.

Quote:In related news Shad Khan is purchasing Waste Management. When asked why he was investing in garbage collection he replied that he has 3 years of experience already since his purchase of the Jaguars.

Thanks for the laugh, I needed it.

Quote:Gus's job was to get improvement from the young guys. He hasnt.

This is about as simple as you can put it and unfortunately, it's true.

People need to not use last year's record as a reason...because last year was all smoke and mirrors...we don't have a 1 - 15 Houston team on our schedule to beat twice in the last 4 or 5 weeks like we did last year...all 4 of our "wins" last year came against teams picking in the top 5 - 6 of the draft with 2 coming against the worst team in the league that had clearly given up on their coach and season.

We were a 1 - 15 team last year too but got luck Houston handed us two wins...so one could argue we are the exact same as last year...not better or worse.

Just like the end of a game we're losing is garbage time.....towards end of a season can be "garbage season" as well. Any game we win here on out will be shear luck.

Don't think anyone else can "outtank" us now.

Without the Houston implosion, the team is 2-14. Just like the prior year. Maybe they beat Tennessee on the Thursday nighter. Another 2-14 team.

If this team has zero talent then it's definitely time to cut ties with Gus and Dave. They stocked this roster.
