They chose Henne as Captain before the season, and by all reports they like and respect him. If anything, the interviews after yesterdays game seemed to give the impression that the rest of the team was disappointed that their performance caused Chad to lose the starting job. They blamed themselves if anything.

 

If anything, if Chad handles this like a true professional, which seems like a given what we have seen, he will stay the captain. Heck, I could even see Bortles saying that Chad has earned it, and talking about how lucky he is to have Chad there helping him out.

You keep saying this, but that was never really the plan.  They've been saying he'll start when he's ready since the draft.

I just thought if a captain has special priveliges and/or responsibilities on the field during games we need somebody not named Chad or Marcedes to wear a C patch. No, I do not care who that player is.
