How would you feel if?....

Quote:Did you watch the SEC this year? yeah yeah, I know the SEC's defense wasn't up to par....yada yada, its still gotta be better than most other Conferences. Murray does not have a "mediocre" arm.
I see the haters are out for the guys who put in a lot of work today. Pretty odd I'd think you'd be wanting to learn stuff.
As for Murray, I don't hate him. I don't think he's ever going to be a franchise QB either, but a good backup/emergency starter has value too. He's just not a developmental guy. What we've seen is what he is. Quote:I see the haters are out for the guys who put in a lot of work today. Pretty odd I'd think you'd be wanting to learn stuff.Again, no reasons for your claims! Pretty hard to learn stuff from someone who uses the same lines for qb's outside of the few you like. Murray does have some developmental traits, a guy with a decent arm, quick to get rid of the ball, not scared of contact, and leadership ability who can throw a decent mid to long ball. Will he ever be "The guy"? Dont know, but to cast him off into your "qb purgatory" that you tend to throw everyone not named Teddy into shows just how much "work" you put in. BTW, Starting your response off with a comment about "haters" makes you sound like Tommy with a bigger vocabulary. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I hate when people say stuff like grab Murray or McCarron 'as a developmental guy'. Those types that have years and years of starting experience and are both limited and maxed out physically are the antithesis of developmental. If you want to just say draft them to be a solid backup guy that's fine, but they aren't going to be the long term answer to anyone's QB needs and they sure as heck aren't going to suddenly develop into having some extra gear that we haven't seen over the 4 years of college play.Kind off like the other guys around the league drafted to be "developmental guys". Maybe you could make a list, or should I? Maybe start with Brady,Rodgers, Wilson, Romo, Roethlisberger, Brees, Foles, and more lower level guys or younger guys like Geno Smith or Kaepernick. So none of these guys fill QB needs?

Quote:He doesn't have a good arm. I've watched plenty of Murray and he has a good arm. To me a good arm is Brady, Luck. Not a cannon but more than enough to make all the throws. Quote:Again, no reasons for your claims! Pretty hard to learn stuff from someone who uses the same lines for qb's outside of the few you like. What are you talking about? I have given a plethora of reasons why I like or do not like virtually every QB in this class in many different topics. I'm not giving a whole scouting report of every QB in every topic that would be beyond silly. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:What do people like about Aaron Murray? His only main positives is he put up good college numbers, but almost all the QBs in the draft put up good numbers in college Everything else is mostly negative, short, small, not very fast, weak arm, throws a low ball, folds in big games, injured right now, doesnt wow you Hes a good college QB, he will hold the clip board for a few years and fade out the NFL like guys like Ken Dorsey and David Greene

The more I think of it, the more I want the Jags to do this and select both Murray and Garoppoio (or Mettenberger)

Or do you just mean as a late dev project? Quote:What do you see in Mettenberger? Great arm but has that long wind up. Or do you just mean as a late dev project?I feel like he is further along than the other post- first round guys. Tinkering with his release should be pretty easy, and I believe he could be ready to lead a NFL team by mid-season. Quote:Actual games, maybe? Not just highlight reels and stats. Yeah because everyone should dvr every game of every prospect and then burn them to dvds then file them away... We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

His pocket movement leaves a lot to be desired also. I would be ok with grabbing him later in the draft. Honestly, I am fully expecting us to pick up our QB in the 3rd-5th area and letting him sit behind Henne unless he just straight up takes the job. I think we are all hoping that happens, whoever the pick(s) end up being. |
