All good points, all good points, from jagjer, archer, JagsFan, and Kick. And I agree with all your premises, and if that's what the Jaguars brass are looking for, then I must agree that Teddy is our best option(which I personally wouldn't mind one bit).

 

I think of it this way,

If we get Teddy this draft, I feel 2014's offense will look very-very similar, perhaps even identical to our 2013 offense. Henne had a few 300-yard games, and I can only hope Bridgewater as a rookie would have similar if not more success his first year. Teddy will be a major step-up from Henne, and be yet another important piece to this rebuilding process, putting us in the right direction.

 

If we get MAnziel in this draft, I feel that will be Gus' way of throwing out the entire offense and going in an entirely new direction never taken in Jacksonville. Much like his old coach Carrol did in Seattle, and similar to the dramatic offensive change that occured from Smith-to-Kaepernick in San Francisco, or the Redskins when RG3 arrived.

 

And so that's the 49 thousand dollar question IMO. Is the offense going to be evolutionary or revolutionary this year? Are the Jags happy with their offense-scheme, and just feel they need a better QB at its helm, or are they looking to go a whole different direction than what we saw in 2013?
