The Fans and Khan Experience

Quote:The game favors offense. If you expect to win week in and week out with defense in a league whose rules favor offense then you will be doing so against the odds. It isn't about fans wanting it just because it is more entertaining, they are wanting it because the league rules favor offense.I don't think that most of us would refute the direction of the league as a whole and the necessity to score more - only the sentiment of fans nots attending or not enjoying defensive contests. Does fantasy football play a part in the league's wanting to generate more offense? It seems everyone, including many heretofore disinterested women, is into FF now.
I didn't read the thread so just throw me out if this has been beaten to death already.

Quote:AhA! The topic! Totally agree.....Khan is a winner. Weaver also needs to be thanked for selling to him.Yeah...I tried to get the thread back on topic but it was a hardcore fail attempt.
Ya, personally I wouldn't mind seeing my Jags win every game 2-0. The Stillers mnf game is one of my top 5 games easy.

Quote:Yep. Agreed. Against S.F. in a down pour. REgards..........the Chiefjag Quote:Yep.Uh no. Just the top of my head when Morten anderson missed the kick in '96 to send us to the playoffs was more exciting. Yes I was there http://articles.baltimoresun.com/1996-12...rs-falcons
Uhh...no Chief.
9-0 was against the Steelers on MNF. It was a clear night...no rain. There was a 41-3 Jaguars won over SF in the rain in 1999. There was also a 10-9 win over SF in 2005 on an overcast day where Garrard had a bunch of passes nearly picked that were dropped. But there was no 9-0 win over SF. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!
Quote:Hammer meet nail. That's actually screwdriver meet nail. The direction of the league / necessity to score more and whether fans appreciate and show up for defensive battles are two completely different discussions. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Uhh...no Chief. It was the 10-9 win I was thinking of then. I thought is rained heavily as I sat under the poncho to the very end. Quote:A boring team that just barely gets by in the reg season by beating bad teams with consistent 13-10 type scores is going to create much less buzz than a team that exhibits some domination while going through their reg season schedule. 9/01/1996 Pittsburgh Steelers W, 24-9 09/08/1996 Houston Oilers L, 34-27 09/15/1996 @ Oakland Raiders L, 17-3 09/22/1996 @ New England Patriots L 09/29/1996 Carolina Panthers W, 24-14 10/06/1996 @ New Orleans Saints L 10/13/1996 New York Jets W, 21-17 10/20/1996 @ St. Louis Rams L, 17-14 10/27/1996 @ Cincinnati Bengals L, 28-21 11/10/1996 Baltimore Ravens W, 30-27 11/17/1996 @ Pittsburgh Steelers L, 28-3 11/24/1996 @ Baltimore Ravens W, 28-25 12/01/1996 Cincinnati Bengals W, 30-27 12/08/1996 @ Houston Oilers W, 23-17 12/15/1996 Seattle Seahawks W, 20-13 12/22/1996 Atlanta Falcons W, 19-17
