Week 14 Games Of Interest

Quote:I think the backup plan is playing in a championship game. Yes, Alabama lost, but it was in a championship game for their first loss so they wouldn't drop out.

True.

But, would a 3-loss Florida team get a playoff birth because they are Conference Champions then?

Quote:Oh yeah,

And what is up with Michigan only having 4 road games in the whole season?

How in the world does a team have 8 home games and 4 away games? That's [BAD WORD REMOVED].

In fact, Michigan only played 3 games the whole season outside of their own state, and lost 2 of them.

That's a problem too.

Why in the world would any school want to schedule any out of conference road games when they can play the majority of the season at home, with a real advantage, and a real chance at making it to the playoffs that way?

Ridiculous.

Football schedules are developed years in advance. 2016 was suppose to be a year where Michigan plays on the road @Notre Dame, but ND backed out of the series.

If the schedule had been what it was suppose to be, then Michigan would have gone into 2016 playing preseason #6, #10, #12, and #17 all on the road this year. You can't really blame Michigan for Notre Dame dropping the series out of nowhere.

Are you talking strictly this year or in general? Because if Alabama was undefeated and everyone else had 2+ losses then a case could be made (because Florida would be ranked higher than 15 in such a scenario), but a 3 loss championship team wouldn't jump over 1 & 2 loss Championship teams.

^I still say this thing is a mess.

Take only Conference Champions, some of which may be 2 or 3 loss teams?

Overall record, so teams can start scheduling a bunch of scrubs to play against, and mostly at home?

I hope they just go to 8 teams pretty soon.

5 conference champs at 3 at large bids for teams like OSU and Michigan who could be top 4 teams but didn't win their conference.

Im fine with 4 but I think 8 is inevitable. Too much money to be had and enough people complaining about fairness.
