We're The Astros, And It's Not A Bad Thing

but the Jags stockpiling garbage picks like 5th, and 6th rounders isn't going to get it done.

You need to stockpile 1st through 4th rounders to get good quickly in the NFL.
A 4th and 5th can yield a 3rd rounder in a trade.

I know, we discussed this in the other thread...

That said, I have never been a proponent of trading UP. It was one of the things that bugged me about Gene.

CT Jags (TTR) That might be the worst photoshop ever. ..

Its not "05" its 5, and Bridgewater is one name, not 2.

Julio Jones called to say he thinks Caldwell is OK with it.   :woot:   J/K

Seriously though -  it would have been nice if the Monroe deal yielded a bit more on our end, but I don't think it's all that bad - especially if the picks are used well.

more on  topic -    Obviously it's not a perfect comparison (and KYjaggey surely was aware of that) but I do like the Astros comparison.   I think it's very much what Caldwell means when he says "committed to building through the draft"

So Caldwell drafted Julio? Interesting...

LOL.   I obviously didn't say that.  Nice try though.  Was it the  :woot:  or the "J/K " that made it seem so literal?

Perhaps you missed the press conference yesterday in which Caldwell said that the added picks will give him the flexibility to move up or down on draft day?

It's obvious you don't like the trade.  I'm actually not in love with it myself - and the thought of Caldwell moving up with those two picks to get a potential impact player is the only thing that makes it sit better with me.  So, I'm trying to think that way.  I've got enough on my plate to be upset about.

I just have a hard time digesting the rhetoric on here that this is a good trade for the Jags and/or Caldwell know what he's doing. Simply put, it's a horrible trade for the Jags. The clots just shipped a freaking first for a RB...I repeat a RB.
