Ordered Tagolongs, received Peanut Butter patty, supposedly the same cookie with different name from different bakery. They sucked. same with the Samoa's I ordered, received chocolate stripe caramel or some such crap, again, they sucked. Highly disappointed. It's like paying for high grade and getting some brown bunk.

I just happened to come across a clip today of the Joe Rogan show where he was talking about how girl scout cookies are super bad for you. I didn't watch the clip other than about 10 seconds because I don't buy them.
My trivial annoyance right now is with engineers and the way they make vehicles so difficult to work on yourself or how it requires way more extra work than should be needed.
Example: Changed the sparkplugs in my 2011 Ford Edge. 3.5 v6. There's 6 plugs, 3 in the front and 3 in the back. 3 front are super easy to get to, but the back 3 on the other hand... It requires me to basically take off the majority of the top end of the engine to even get to the back plugs. A few more inches of space and none of that is needed. Add insult to injury, the coil packs were stuck on 2 of the 3 in the back, causing them to rip and have about an inch or so stuck on the plug, meaning I cant remove the plugs until I get the small little pieces out. So in an area you can't see, you can barely feel, I got to spend quite a bit of time with a pick trying get all the little pieces out in order to finish the job. Some may not understand what I'm trying to explain, but I'm sure Eric knows what I'm talking about lol (02-26-2025, 12:14 PM)TheSkipWillis Wrote:(02-04-2025, 10:40 PM)Sneakers Wrote: I spoke with my supplier today. People who don't use common sense and burn yard debris during red flag warnings. Someone in the next county over and close to where my husband works started a burn in their yard yesterday that has ended up becoming a serious problem.
Definitely not a trivial annoyance. (03-04-2025, 10:31 AM)americus 2.0 Wrote: People who don't use common sense and burn yard debris during red flag warnings. On the plus side, won't have to worry about dingus burning debris any time soon. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Yesterday there was a moron burning yard debris not even an eighth of a mile from us. We live outside of town limits surrounded by all kinds of trees that dumped lots of leaves and pine straw over fall and winter that, up to now, was very dry. People know they shouldn't be burning. I called local police nonemergency line to make them aware and they told me to call the forestry service. I don't usually get in other people's business but if your [BLEEP] starts a fire and burns acres of land and destroys homes, specifically mine, you'll wish I was never your neighbor. I can go old testament in a situation if need be. Or as my husband says, "don't piss her off. She'll go full metal jacket on you." In some situations you have to be that person that everyone calls a Karen. I only go Full Karen when I really have to. Lol. We actually got more rain than anticipated, thank goodness. The birds are having a good old time splashing around in the puddles in the yard. Another perk is the rain tamps down the outdoor dust and dander from lack of rain that was triggering my allergies so bad it was unreal. I think the rain is about over and now there's low, long thunder rumbling due to a cold front moving in. I love that sound. No yard debris, but I do have a few tires to get rid of. Don't worry, I'll wait until after dark and you won't even see the smoke.

Dude, North Carolina is under a burn ban by the U.S. Forestry Service to include all permits cancelled. Some nutsack was burning in our neighborhood last night. Between very little rain, very low dew point and humidity numbers, and gusty winds we are a tinderbox. It doesn't take much to set the fallen pine straw on fire and spread like, well, wildfire. Also, I must complain about the insane amount of pollen we have flying around. You see what you think is fog or smoke in the air but thanks to gusty winds it's yellow clouds of pollen exploding out of the pine trees of which we have an absurd number. You walk outside and it gets in your mouth, your hair, you clothes, your eyes, etc., and the allergy meds are barely giving relief. I keep telling myself pollen is why we have chocolate and coffee so it's worth it.
What's up with soda prices? Few years ago you could get name brand soda on sale for 2 for 5 or 3 for 10. Now 12 packs are 6 a piece on sale. Why.
Covid sure got all the price jackers all jacked up. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! |
