The problem is if someone wants to create a thread in Sideline wanting to discuss their favorite kinds of    I.C.E. C.R.E.A.M. it cant be done since the filter is applied to the whole forum.

Pretty far fetched, though honestly that sounds more fun than watching the jaguars. I do find it hilarious though that everyone knows Gus style essentially does boil down to "no sprinkles" that the mods have to literally ban these words from the board. Really shows the state of things here.

It's not violating the Terms and Conditions of the board so why should it be censored?

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.
