It really does amaze me how people nationally still view him as a top QB in the league when he's done nothing to show it. Even 1010 yesterday said they'd trade Blake for Winston straight up which is just silly. Stat wise, they're basically identical after 3 years, except Blake is maturing (and was coached by Gus for 3 years) and Winston is the same exact guy he was when drafted. Give me Blake over Winston all day long.

Blake after 3:
11241 yards, 69 tds, 51 ints, 21 fumb lost

Winston:
11636 yards, 69 tds, 44 Ints, 17 fumb lost (increasing each year)

Not a huge discrepancy there at all. Especially when Winston is always talked about as close to a top 10 guy and Bortles is referred to as barely even rosterable. Plus the maturation of each is night and day. Give me the Boat.

And whats the completion percentage? Thats why one is viewed differently. Well along with one other thing.

As for Comp % Blake was at 58.8% after 3. Jameis is at 60.8% I would say that's a massive difference. If Jameis was around 64% sure. Cam Newton's career is 58.5% with one year over 60 and one at exactly 60, and he's viewed as a top QB.

And the "Bortles is a drunk" narrative is still out there?

Cam Newton is not a top QB imo. I can't believe he won the MVP.

I don't think he is either. But he's viewed as one even with a sub par comp %

The reasoning for including him was to showcase that Jameis does not have a magical stat that puts him in a "top tier" ranking. If anything, his stats should be putting him towards the bottom. Yet the perception is, for the most part, that he's this top flight QB and he's just not in any sense.
