Marqise Lee

Quote:So yeah... Happy to see Lee finally start performing on the field.  That's a good thing.

Just throwing this out there... as a random thought I had.. but Lee is going to be up for contract along side ARob.

We know ARob is going to get PAID.

We already gave a pretty solid payday to Hurns.

Lee... has not really done anything yet to warrant such a payday, meaning he's more likely to be resigned for a smaller, shorter deal (smaller because he hasn't proved it, shorter because he'll likely want to come back to the well after proving it).

If Lee had 3 years of solid performance to bring to the table, his pricetag would likely be higher..

So maybe we get the Albino Tiger Discount this contract round!

I like Lee so I really hope that plays out but I feel like it highly unlikely. I think he'll get offered more money and playing time elsewhere unless something drastic happens.

What if they put Lee as RB on a few plays? To spread the offense. Of course we wouldn't want to hand it off to him but screen passes or short passes or quick outside passes would really help him use that speed in more open space. Kinda like how the Packers put Cobb at RB or Montgomery? I think a up tempo offense would suit well with our players. Get the ball out quick. We could utilize all starting receivers more and JT.

If that's even possible.

Hurns got his extension for a good reason. He earned it.

He's not having a bad season considering how badly Bortles has played and the emergence of Lee. He's on course for 920 yards which is only 111 less than last year.

Love Hurns but I would've been in favor of letting things play out a bit more between the 3.

Maybe if we cut Julius Thomas we can afford to keep all 3 Smile

Also had a 31 & 34 yard kick returns.... He gives us a threat back there.
