I like the Fatukasi (NT) pick that NH3 made, in the sense that the NT/DL in a 3-4 can make or break the pass rush that Allen and Walker (in theory) can create. If he can consistently demand double-coverage while holding his ground, it opens up the outside lanes for your outside pass-rushing LBs.

He's known primarily for his ability vs the run and not the pass, but we'll see how that rotation shakes out. I'd wager Davon Hamilton (not Fatukasi) is in the middle in those 3-4 pass defense packages with Fatukasi in on run looks. Will be an interesting spot to watch during preseason IMO.
If we're really going to be 34 then Hamilton, Fatukasi, Brown should be the down linemen. You need big, bulky guys in there to cover all 5 o-linemen and allow the 'backers the space to make plays.

It's really not asking who we think is going to be the most improved player but rather who can help this team the most by improving on last years performance. With that in mind, while I think Cisco will improve the most, I think that Josh Allen could help this team the most by taking his performance to the next level on a game by game basis. JJ Watt was at first criticized by Wade Phillips for not maintaining his gaps as a 3-4 DE as a rookie. After seeing the result of Watt playing the position his way, Phillips decided he could live with that technical "flaw."

They don't fit your description of d-lineman needed to play a 3-4 defense. Are you saying you would make adjustments so they could be included? lol

From the list of guys on our roster I don't see either of them. What I do see are several wide bodies that work very well in the 34 as it's generally played. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

In all reality, if Wingard can continue to play like Ed Reed we will be fine.
