I just work frantically until the 23rd then remember to pick up a few gift cards for family at the last minute, drop by someone's Christmas Eve party and take a bunch of food home with me so I have something to eat on Christmas Day. Alone. Binge watching a murder mystery series and wondering where my life went so horribly wrong.

(I'm kidding - but this year is kind-of shaping up this way LOL)

I’ve learned to get Christmas shopping done early. Otherwise, you’re running around frantically and trying to think what gift to give to someone. It always resulted in me spending too damn much to give a good gift. Almost like, when all else fails, get something expensive. My wife has been usually the one to benefit the most. Can’t gift card your wife if you want to stay married. Despite learning that, guess who hasn’t done a lick of shopping?

Trust me, I try to stay away from the public as much as possible.  Amazon and I are close friends.  Too close!  Here lately you’ve gotta watch the prices.  Used to be Amazon had most things cheaper or comparable to other stores.  Some of this stuff I’ve been buying for my new toy has been 20-100 more than I can find from other reputable online retailers.  Even with shipping some things are way cheaper elsewhere.

ayuh, we've bought santa stuff for the kids and I've bought a few minor things, but I will again lose the battle that Xmas is not about completely filling the living room with presents

Bacon wrapped filet mignon, lobster tail, twice baked potatoes, asparagus and stawberry rhubarb pie for dessert.

She's still making me the rum cake though, hopefully tomorrow lol

Presents for the grandkids, everyone else gets a gift card. I've never had much patience gift shopping and it becomes less the older I get.

The wife gets nothing because she asked for nothing. The only thing I know for sure she wants is a $1500 purse. Nope. Ain't happenin'.

I don't know if yours is the same way, but mine will use her purse for like 3 months and have to buy another one. Like they go bad or something lol

Meanwhile, I've had the same wallet for over 30 years, and I'll never get rid of it lol

Ah..   idk if you’ve ever been, but Weedmans across that little bridge isn’t too bad.  Their CS can be better at times.  But the Mrs. and I will get their freezer specials about once a month.  We always add about 4 filets w/o the bacon to the order.  I was actually tipped a few bacon wrapped filets and a couple ribeyes from a client from Weedmans.  (They froze it and knew they were last on the route).
