Buckner isn't a top 5 pick. Maybe top 15.

A'Shawn Robinson will be the best defensive lineman from this draft.

Unless Buckner kills it at the combine I would agree he isn't a top 5 pick

I would expect Dallas to look long and hard at Robinson

I'd love for us to take him but Miller played lights out this year so couldn't really justify the pick.

Quote:Who knows who will rise and fall between now and April, but let's suppose Bosa, Tunsil, Hargreaves and Ramsey all go before we pick at five.

Who is worth picking at number five ? (Let's imagine that nobody wants to trade up with us.)

I would think that the pick is Myles Jack at number 5 if Joey Bosa, Jalen Ramsey, Vernon Hargreaves III, and LT Tunsil are already taken.

Buckner's freakish height 6'7", hand size 12", 291lbs yet can run a 40 in 5 secs & ability to play 3tech DT or 5t LE makes him worthy of a top 5 pick IMO (plus he's ready to play where Jack may still be injured or might get injured again).

People say Buckner doesnt fit the scheme is a head scratcher because you can either have him at LE or DT letting Odrick go to end or DT just like Jackson it gives the team guys that can play multiple roles (including Fowler Jr.) so that they are constantly moving around confusing offensives lines that try to plan for them.

I don't know people say he wont go in the Top 5 like Leo Williams last year, and they might be right.. some teams usually think you get the big guys early on.. others only want the most elite of premium positions such as QB, Edge Rusher (usually DE/OLB with freakish 10 yrd time), or elite CB (some say if Jalen goes in top 5 its only as a corner despite everyone saying he would be better as FS simply because most teams would rather have an elite CB than FS).  In SI they have the Jaguars trading up for Jalen Ramsey with Titans but to have him play FS due to their scheme.. (i dont know about that since they signed Gipson).
