Worst case scenario

#1

Who knows who will rise and fall between now and April, but let's suppose Bosa, Tunsil, Hargreaves and Ramsey all go before we pick at five.

Who is worth picking at number five ? (Let's imagine that nobody wants to trade up with us.)

Nasty scenario... probably Myles Jack as mentioned.  Depends upon what happened in free agency, also.

Myles Jack(sonville)

How big is Jack (his actual height/weight).  He's listed mostly at 6'1 225.  What position(s) would he play here?  How would they use him in this defense?

I've seen him listed anywhere from 225-245. He could easily play MLB here long term. Him and Telvin would give us one of the fastest and best coverage units in the league.

So no QBs were taken in this scenario?

Probably unlikely.

I don't want Tunsil either. We need a lot more help on defense.

Trade down at that point if possible for someone who wants one of the 2 QBs.

He has came out and said he wants to play LB in the NFL. He doesn't want to be a RB, or anything like that. I'd be willing to bet he comes in somewhere around 6ft - 6'1 and 235 - 245lbs.

LOL

Of course if we pick him it will not be a "worst case scenario."

Jack, Alexander, or A'Shawn Robinson.

Buckner anyone?

I'm not a fan of him at #5.

Buckner is a top 5 pick and would be perfect as our big end. Odrick not stopping us from drafting a freak like Buckner.

DeForest Buckner - Could play the strong side end or the 3-technique DT on 1st and 2nd downs with Marks playing on 3rd down and 2nd and long.  Buckner is listed as 290 lbs and plays the run well.

Miles Jack - At 240 lbs he could play MLB.  He is very fast and good in pass coverage.

Mackensie Alexander - A good CB.  Would start on the outside.

All would help the Jaguars pass defense.

As a dark horse selection here, should the Jaguars be unable to secure a top FA DE, Shaq Lawson may be a possibility.  Not sure of the knee injury and won't know until the medical at the combine.

For me I would go for the heart of the defense, the MLB.  I think David Caldwell may lean more towards the pass rush and may take Buckner or Lawson.

I would go with Alexander or A'Shawn Robinson

He better be the next Michael Bennett if we draft him at #5.

And not the Michael Bennett that is currently on this roster.
