Maybe he's working them hard on purpose so they lose, then let's them loose with fresh legs in the regular season? And the bad play by Bortles is all being done on purpose to drum up controversy to excite the fan base?

I play Blake now. I would think you would want to evaluate each quarterback against Carolina's 1's if it's a true competition right?

With as poorly as Chad has looked Marrone can't take a chance that Bortles comes in and plays well. I wouldn't be surprised if he's held out until the Panthers backups are in just to make sure there's nothing to question Henne's performance about.
