Benjamin is more comparable to Alston Jeffrey in his style of play. He'll be a good possession WR who can make plays on 50/50 balls and will be a red zone threat but he's no Megatron.

I'll take 1400 yrds, 7 tds, and 16.0 yrds a catch from a possession receiver any day.

Williams is a plug in.  Not a long term solution.  We drafted for speed last season and anticipate doing the same this year.  That is how the Seahawks were built --- for speed.

Nonetheless  -  I don't think that they intend to go exclusively after "small, shifty" receivers as you suggested.  (thought you might be kidding) 

 

 I'd anticipate someone at least 6'1" or taller to be added with hopes of playing primarily on the outside. Certainly speed will be part of the equation, yes.

Someone tall for red zone purposes as well.   Balance is good -- I just think we'll emphasize small speedy playmakers more then the past regime of getting tall slow dudes (Reggie WIlliams, Matt Jones, & Earnest Wilford).   I liked the Pats concept of Givens, Branch, & Troy Brown.    I guess having Brady helped as well. :woot:

I'd rather we trade back with Cleveland get their second first rounder and their second rounder and spend both first rounders on defensive players and the second rounders on a RB and OG.

I don't see Cleveland giving us a second for one spot when they can get 2 for a similar price trading with the rams


I think the rams will want to trade but stay above Atlanta to get Matthews


I think our best trade options are Atlanta and Minnesota


Preferably Minnesota for their first second and 4th then take Mack or Barr whichever falls to 8
