The issue is the obvious imbalance in penalties.

The game was not called the same for both teams. That's a fact. That's the issue here.

Oh, sure...  what exactly were you implying, then?

Have you considered the POSSIBILITY that the Jags COMMITTED more fouls than NE and hence drew more flags?  That seems to be one alternative theory to yours.  I'm absolutely certain that there were plenty of offenses committed by BOTH teams that didn't get called.  That's true in every game you play, not just against NE!

U don't think the NFL would stick up for itself ever do you? Uh duhhh, gee Wizz Wally but the NFL says it isn't rigged. I can't even with these people - never seen a more clueless group of people.

No, it couldn't be that. The game are on film dude... We can see the penalties being committed and not called by the Pats. I mean, great reasoning though...

HaHa  Dude, you obviously didn't even read the article!   That's OK....don't let facts get in the way and spoil your warped perceptions.

What am I implying?

The fact that you still don't get it (and that you're still trolling around on the Jaguars board) tells me all I need.

I have never said it's rigged. I have never said the Jaguars didn't commit more penalties than the Pats.

There were multiple clear and obvious penalties that didn't get called on your team. So clear that I will go as far to say that there is no chance in hell that the officials didn't see them.

Good for you. Your team won. It needed help in the way of multiple poor officiating calls and to come from behind against a young team that went 3-13 a year ago to get the win.  It needed the Jaguars coaching staff going soft in the latter part of the game to squeak out a win.

Next year will be fun. Enjoy your run. Enjoy another Super Bowl.

The Jaguars window is opening while the Patriots is closing.

The game against you next season will be a blast.  This team is going to be motivated beyond belief. Motivated to the point where I predict the refs won't be able to save you again.

After having over 24 hours to digest the game, the officiating still stands out as despicable and the main reason the patriots were even in this game come the fourth quarter. While the team did wear down and get conservative, they also played probably as well as they could have ever hoped to play. The officials swung the game. The patriots were allowed to hold and interfere with our receivers at will without a single flag thrown throughout the second half. Our biggest play was blown dead. Patriots fans by in large are the most delusional in sports, so don’t pay attention to what they write. Everyone else in the nation saw it. It’s been a topic on ESPN and every football talk show on the nation for a reason. Because it was wrong and everyone who is honest with themselves knows it.

Pats beat the Jags and put on a show in the 4th quarter that your young players will remember for years to come, hopefully serving as a learning moment for them as they continue their careers.  keep it positive.....you, too, will feel better a lot sooner.  Keep in mind, every team and fan base suffers setbacks and disappointments....God knows, NE has, even during their amazing 18 year run....so stay away from the pettiness and vitriol.

Good luck next season....keep it rolling

I don't even know why people care about "class" so much when it comes to sports. its football, not a presidential ball at the whitehouse. Who cares about class when it comes to sports. Its supposed to be fun and full of crap talking, guys with egos defending their teams and sometimes, getting personal. Class is for losers.

The cheatriots were gifted the game. Period. Everyone knows it. The cheats fans are here trying to get our approval/recognition for a game that was gifted to their team and stolen from ours. Their fans and more importantly their players and coaches know that the game was not won through their talent and planning/coaching but at the hands of biased officiating and it's eating them up. They cannot even enjoy the W because of the fact they know along with the entire world that it was not earned on the field honorably. No men worth their salt would look at that game objectively and come away with the conclusion that the cheats were the better team that day. Straight facts.

What I find most funny about all this is that fans from every NFL team, the media and players are all saying the same thing. That being that the Patriots in this game got away with murder in the penalty calls.

The Patriots fans in the face of literally everyone else telling them say that everyone else is wrong, the game was called fairly and that they are right.

When different people are all telling you the same thing, it's for a reason and that reason isn't because they're "butt hurt, everybody hates the Patriots" or any other bull you dimwits tell yourselves for comfort.

You had an unfair advantage, you might not like hearing you needed an unfair advantage to beat us and you will definitely never admit it because of who you are. You had it and you needed it, it most certainly determined the outcome of the game.

What extent did it determine the outcome? We'll never know.

We know not all calls will be seen, we know the Jags didn't get called fro some penalties and we know that the Patriots didn't get called for some that it was impossible for the Refs not to have seen. The photo on this thread of Marquise Lee for example was ruled an incomplete pass... therefore the officials saw him not catch it. If they saw him not catch it, then how didn't they see the face mask, horse collar tackle or pass interference? Answer, they saw it and ignored it.

You can say you're more disciplined all you like, but when we're showing you video and photo evidence of penalties that weren't called, that shows actually you aren't disciplined at all because you're committing the fouls. The only difference is that they aren't being called.

Had the calls been more balanced and we lost, then you'd hear us saying that it hurts to come close and lose, but the better team won. However, we don't know whether the better team did win and all we actually know is that the team getting assistance from the officials won. Getting assistance like that and winning doesn't make you the better team, but I know you'll claim you're better.

Our rivals are Houston, Indianapolis and Tennessee because they are in our division, Denver and Pittsburgh because we used to be in the AFC Central with them. Now I know you won't be able to get your head around this, basically because you are so arrogant that you can't even comprehend that fans would feel this way about your team - We don't care about the Patriots unless we're playing against you, there's no rivalry!

Next year we'll be wanting to beat you when you play us and rooting for you to beat our Rivals... because other than those weeks you just don't matter to us.

Enjoy your SB, cheerio... go on then, off you go.

Well said. The fact these clowns are on here says everything really. They knew we'd be complaining about the officiating be she they themselves saw how bad their "great" team needed it to win after getting punched in the mouth...

They knew we'd be talking about it and that's why they're here.

Can anyone here imagine gloating in the Pats forum after a win for this long? Keep it "classy" Boston....

Your and your fellow Pats homers have demonstrated that perfectly. The notion it’s New England vs everyone is laughable, but I guess you have to grasp at straws to find motivation at some point.

Sure bud. I'm just happy we won. Don't worry, we will lose the SB and your Jags will get their victory!

To miss a call is human.
To miss a few is unfortunate, but forgivable.
To miss every single penalty is refs deliberately trying to sway the game.

And they did..

These snaps don't even include the fumble blown dead, the horse [BLEEP] PI call against Bouye or the hold on Telvin that wasn't called on the final run.

This was a hit job where we needed to play flawless football to win. We needed to leave no room for the refs to impact the outcome. Shad Khan should be in Goodell's office today demanding an explanation on how this could happen.

I feel so naive thinking the shield would make sure the game was played on an even playing field. I have never been so disgusted in my years of watching pro football.

No penalties on New England on Offense or Defense. Superior coaching. What a [BLEEP] sham.
Only a chump boos the home team!

The first half they did. Then we were winning.

They only let the Pats play in the second half.

Look at my signature. Should that have been called? Or is that just letting them play?

i find it hard to believe that 2 penalties cost you the game.

3 out of the 6 were pre snap dumb mistakes.
1 helmet to helmet  - it is what it is they called it all year

2 PI they are subjective

Did you even click the link dude?

Which one of those non-calls would you like to dispute?

The defensive hold on Lewis in the 4th quarter that would have sustained a Jags drive where the jersey is being pulled right in front of the ref?

The punch to the face your LT got away with on the first Amendola TD?

Your G tripping defenders when he gets beat?

Did you even click the link or are you just trolling?

Zero penalties called on offense or defense. Great coaching, right? If the Jags had the kind of calls New England got, your team would have lost by three scores.
