I would be scared behind that O line too.  There is no reason that Bortles is not rolling out.

Use his mobility.

Hackett is the problem with the offense. He doesn't understand nuances of play. When it's time to go big....run up the gut, when it's best to be conservative....try for a big play. He is not coordinator level in this league.
Signature goes here.

I do not think so.  We had like 12 straight run plays....that wont help the passing offense
I will say our pass blocking O-Line is atrocious. But Bortles long throwing motion is not helping.

Because he literally can’t throw the football anywhere resembling nfl standards.

What a [BLEEP] joke

Bortles doing his best to lose the game

(This post was last modified: 11-18-2018, 04:37 PM by Firesky.)

As much flak as we give Bortles, we're on our 4th LT (Walker and Flowers are the worst per % at letting up pressure) Shatley has had some whiffs, Chris Reed is sooooo bad in relief of Cann, and Parnell has been meh. Norwell is the only solid guy today. We need to spend the offseason shoring up the Oline. I'd really like to see Omameh get some snaps at RG in practice this week, he played RG for the Giants the first half of this year and since our offense is unchanged I think he can adjust to playing RG for us even though he was a LG for us last year.

andddd you take another sack on 3rd and 17. Agree with Romo's casting in that these playcalls are nonsensical.
Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

We should just punt on first down. Like that is actually a better option for us every time.
No pain, no gain.

did anyone really think this game was winnable given the way we've played the last 5 games? I'm shocked that we're even in this game, but I don't understand the passes here, Hackett is calling a losing game, but I thought we were going to be destroyed in this game, really. I was thinking 40-9. But I'm shocked that they're giving up on the run, because it's taking time off the clock even if it's not going anywhere. If we lose it's because of Hackett.

Peyton Manning, big Ben, dan mario played on bad offensive lines and lack of a dominant running game through their career and looked way better than blake.

Hackett should be fired right now. How pathetic is it.

The play selection is horrible as well

Bortles hasn't turned the ball over. While i'm not in awe of his play we can take this W by managing the game, running well and taking care of the ball.

Our Oline is REALLY bad folks. the injuries have ravaged multiple spots on the line. It's hard to ask much of the Rodgers of the world behind this rotting picket fence we call an Oline.

How was that any different than Calais sack and penalty?

Yanniiiiiiiiiiick !

He's not calling plays with a rthym or too our strengths or whatever Pittsburgh are showing, it's all reacting to the last play and hoping a play breaks.

Where are the screens, roll outs, sweeps, drags, those short yardage, quick plays that can help the O line.
