With the 3rd overall pick, bleacher report selects for the Jags...

Yeah...but he's a smurf that will get crushed when he tries to pull the cute crap that worked in college.
If that RV sales place wants Tebow in Jax bad enough to take out a billboard saying as much.....they should just HIRE him.

Quote:Yes, I have seen Newton THROW the football.

I've also seen Jameis throw a 97 mph fastball, throw a football over the biggest fraternity house in the country, and throw a ball 55+ yards for a TD while getting hit at the same time.
Until Cam lines up and throws a baseball and over the "biggest frat house" I guess we'll never know.

Cam has more velocity on his throws

This will be the fifth draft that I have intensely studied and conversed about with the draft community. Without a doubt, I have never seen a worse case of QB fear than the one that Pirk has. I can promise if he was the GM of  team he would never win a super bowl.

I used to think that until I heard:

Then I realized he may drop big in the draft

Let pirk think whatever he wants. He strongly and consistently backed both Gabbert and Leftwich. So, its probably a good thing that he's not sold on Bridgewater, and also probably indicates that Bortles will likely be a disappointment at the next level.

You felt Quinn Gray was better than Garrard and Leftwich, and don't even start about your Dan Lefevour Fever.

So, go right ahead... keep up the jester's dance.  It suits you well.

I actually really like the Bortles pick, I think he'll turn out to be a great franchise QB

So should Teddy's lack of size, small hands, and insistence on throwing with gloves to compensate for it.

pirk has fear for good reason. He went "all in" on both Leftwich and Gabbert. That would make anyone gun shy.

Let's wait until the combine to make assumptions about this stuff ok? You're gonna look pretty silly if he comes in at 6'2''+ 200lb+ and 9"+ hands...which I think he clears all 3.

Size? Legitimate grip, I think he needs to get bigger

I have no problems with the gloves, if it hasn't been a problem up till now, why should it continue

Hand size? Won't know till the combine, would prefer that he has over 9 1/2 inches for my own peace of mind

 9 inches shouldn't be a problem

I think his accuracy/smarts, good-great arm should be enough to compensate for any under comings

Only your fifth?  That explains the rest of what you've said.  This "QB fear" nonsense... LOL.  I've already said if we take one with #3, we'll probably be drafting another in the next few years with our first rounder again.  LOL... "fear".  I'd like us to select two.  How's that for fear...

The only QB fear on this board, are those who are afraid of passing on taking a QB in the first round THIS year and THIS year only.  Force fitting what probably wouldn't be the best choice for the team.  Now that's cowardice.  Fear that we'll never find a franchise QB unless it's NOW.

Asinine...  No, it's gone beyond that.  It's becoming a mental disorder.  It's become worse, much worse than those wanting Geno at #2.

I said QG was more talented than both of those. And he probably was. Gray failed for other reasons. i.e. Lazy, bad teammate, questionable football IQ...but from a pure talent standpoint, his arm and legs were as good as either player, better actually.

I loved LeFevour's moxie and accuracy. Unfortunately I underestimated the importance of his lack of arm strength. Live and learn.
