He wants Haskins more than I do lol and that’s saying something.

Such a bad look from a guy who should be the leader of the team.

How so? Nothing wrong with him voicing opinion on personnel he would want. Not any different than trying to recruit FAs

Not sure I’m buying that.

He thinks Haskins has a chance to be something and wants him in Jacksonville. Not sure why that’s bad

Don't you know that players are not allowed to have opinions?

These guys should support their starter until he isn't their starter. Too much NBA leaking into this league with players jockeying to be player GMs.

This is coming from someone who dislikes Bortles as a football player as much as anybody.

Bortles has been gone for a good while now man. Everyone knows he isn't the starter anymore

Didn't say he can't have an opinion , would just be nice to see him act like a professional.

What's unprofessional about offering an opinion on Twitter that disparages nobody?

The definition of disparage is "regard or represent as being of little worth". If you are Blake Bortles reading that tweet, isn't that the essence of disparagement?

So you actually think that Bortles was going to be starter next season?  Really?  You should probably stick to the political forums.

Prisco was beating hard that Coughlin strongly preferred Haskins pre-combine. I wonder what might have changed his mind over the weekend

Maybe it is a giant smoke screen? Caldwell has been known to do that.

Unpredictable draft. Cant gamble your season hoping you get a specific player. Got to have contingencies and fill needs before the draft.

They'd have to pretend to be in on Foles for 6 weeks but not sign him for it to be a smokescreen lol

My favorite options at the moment are:

- sign Foles to a two-three year deal and draft Grier in the second if he’s there

- draft Haskins at 7 or in a fair trade up

I’m still on the fence about Murray

Prefer Haskins but if you go the Foles route...don't grab Grier unless it's the 3rd round.

Those 1st two picks should be TE/OL/WR if you go with Foles.

I agree with your sentiments about Foles/Grier. I think Grier will still be available at that point, and that 2nd rounder will bring a talented starter. Frankly, if we grab Foles, I kinda like moving back from 7, and having a few more picks in this draft, even if they are a later first and a few more day two picks.

Yes, Foles caught lightning in a bottle and is team had the perfect storm for the 2017 season.

But in all honesty, he is an average starting QB at best. He can not carry a team like a franchise QB. If the Jags think their QB unit is good to go with Foles and some later round rookie, they will
be sadly mistaken. Maybe the Jags can make the post-season with Nick, but that will be it.

Outside of 2013 has Foles actually played better than bortles in the regular season? Must be marginal at best.

Wish he could bring Ertz with him.
