Aside from benefiting by playing a continually wilting Jaguars team in 1999 what is his accomplishment? Well for starters.. He was able to actually win and have very good offensive production despite that Jeff Fisher was his head coach .. Also anyone who actually thinks Steve McNair's and David Garrard's careers were remotely comparable is either a blind homer or just straight hating on a player who led a divisional rival. It's probably a little of both in this case.

Best damn quarterback in Titans history. May he, and his #9 rest in peace. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
The remarkable thing about that 1999 Titans team - and many of their early 2000's teams--was that they really didn't have many weapons on offense. McNair had very little to work with--except Frank Wycheck (HISS BOO). The Titans had a great defense, very good special teams, and a quarterback who could make great throws and escape the pocket when he had to. He was a tough opponent for the Jags, and certainly worthy of having his team jersey retired.
