Jags 2014 Draft Predictions
|
Quote:Foster being hurt most of the year is what hurt them. He is one of the best players in yhe league and they are a run first team. He is what makes the wheels turn in that offense! It could be 3 years in a row the team with the number 1 pick makes the playoffs the very next season. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
My prediction is a "Playoff team" (specifically the Patriots) will trade for Justin Blackmon during the draft.
I hoping it will be at least a 2nd round pick, or a 3rd and 5th (something to this effect)

Quote:My prediction is a "Playoff team" (specifically the Patriots) will trade for Justin Blackmon during the draft. <TMD Mode> Figures that would happen. And watch him go on to the Patriots and never get into trouble again. It's what the NFL wants. They don't want Jacksonville to succeed. That's why they suspended Blackmon. So that Jacksonville would have to trade him away. I'd hope we'd at least get two firsts if we traded Blackmon. But I won't be surprised if this happens. </TMD mode> That said, I really hope that doesn't happen. Would hope Caldwell wouldn't trade our best receiver for just a 2nd.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.
Quote:That said, I really hope that doesn't happen. Would hope Caldwell wouldn't trade our best receiver for just a 2nd. I don't really want it to happen either. But he can't be our best receiver if he is hardly ever on the field.....
LOL If that really is what TMD thinks about Justin Blackmon, he is an idiot.
I would be totally shocked if we traded one of our best players again. David Caldwell said he wants Blackmon to stay and will do everything he can to help him get sober. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:LOL If that really is what TMD thinks about Justin Blackmon, he is an idiot.I don't know if I would be shocked, but I would be very surprised.....if Blackmon was in a Jaguar jersey next year. That's why I think we take a WR in the first 3 rounds where the position is very deep before a drop off. Blackmon has worn out his welcome here. What else is Caldwell going to say? He has to be politically correct in the media. I don't think we can invest any more time or hope on Blackmon with all the strikes he has against him. He's a great talent, but I think they look elsewhere if possible. Quote:My prediction is a "Playoff team" (specifically the Patriots) will trade for Justin Blackmon during the draft.I'm not sure we can get that much for him. He's on his last leg with the league's abuse program and has never had a good start to finish season in his two years. Brandon Marshall was in the league longer, was WAY more productive, and wasn't one mistake away from being suspended for a long time, and he garnered a 3rd round pick and a future 3rd round pick. I'm thinking we'd get a conditional pick in next year's draft. If he turns it around and stays on the field, we get a 3rd round pick, if not then we get a 4th round pick. Something similar to that.
I'd trade Justin Blackmon for a second round pick in a heartbeat. As much as I admire his talent, give me a guy who may be marginally less talented, but actually plays in games.
I'd gladly draft Brandin Cooks with that extra second round pick.

Id rather hold on to him until all resources are exhausted We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Blackmon is a top 10, possible top 5 talent. But if Caldwell is offered a second rounder (not likely), I have a very hard time he'd turn down the offer.
Quote:That's the most realistic scenario. But if Caldwell is offered a second rounder (not likely), I have a very hard time he'd turn down the offer.Caldwell would take that in a sec but no GM is stupid enough to offer that when one more mistake and he will most likely be out of the league
Why was TMD banned from the messageboard? I think its wrong for them to banned him for giving his opinions on all things Jaguars even if they're negative.
![]() Quote:I think Schuab is still a decent to pretty good QB.They need to reup at WR and TE. Hopkins needs to improve. Andre and Daniels are old. I could easily see them wanting to bring back Shaub for a couple more years. I feel he's got it left. I think folks have overblown the sideline drama. They don't have to bring in an immediate starter in that scenario.

We have a multipage thread on the Sideline about this. Apparently moderators noticed he was hijacking threads to push an agenda and got tired of it. I personally will love not putting up with his Debbie Downer posts because he acts like a Jaguars hater instead of a Jaguars fan. Quote:We have a multipage thread on the Sideline about this. Blackmon isn't being traded. Too young, too talented even despite all of his troubles to just trade him away for peanuts.
I'm so glad some of you aren't the GM. This team wouldn't go anywhere
THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.
RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
