AB being AB

(This post was last modified: 09-07-2019, 05:40 PM by Jagwired.)

We are talking about a team that employed a stone cold murderer. AB is a light weight to the cheatriots.

One crazy Saturday for Antonio Brown and the NFL continues.
Brown has agreed to a deal with the New England Patriots on the same day he was released by the Oakland Raiders, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's MJ Acosta reported, per a source.
The deal is for one-year, $15 million, Rapoport reported, with a $9 million signing bonus.

I avoided him like the plague. In auction leagues I even put him up early so the autodrafts would bid max value on him.

So he basically threw child tantrum repeatedly and then got rewarded for it....what a spoiled [BLEEP]

Wouldn’t surprise me if the league investigated the Pats for tampering. I don’t think the Pats are that dumb and probably didn’t, but Goodell always seems to have an axe to grind with them

What the hell?! I miss one day of Antonio Brown news. Last I saw he was tweeting his fines now hes playing for the Pat's?!

Well let's see if he tries that crap with Belichick. I'm guessing hes suddenly going to be back focused on football.

Raiders could have prevented this but Gruden sucks and Mayock is the worst GM since Gene Sniff

Rosenhaus is as sleazy as agents come. You think Brown isn't knowing theres something better lined up? Hes had excuses since day 1 why he cant train. The feet, the helmet, its preseason. He didn't want to play for them.

I feel sorry for guys like Keelan Doss. Work their butt off to get into a camp, turn up, practice, study, be part of the team, make plays yet he gets cut and AB is AB so he just walks into the #1 spot regardless of what he does.

Something really wrong with that.

That's two large egos on the pats now ....one a nut job diva and the other a substance abuser.

How in the world does this happen? This sets a bad example for the NFL.. just be giant issue for your team by skipping all team functions and then whining and using vulgar and racist comments just after YOU signed on the dotted line. Then he gets to just go play with the Patriots and do what he wants. The integrity of the league just dropped even farther.
No pain, no gain.

If he makes the whole season, I'll be shocked. You think Brady is going to put up with any [BLEEP]? I guess we'll see soon.

Phone rings in a random strip mall in South Florida.
" Go to room number three, that's right, Candy Apples's room. Tell Bob that Bill needs to speak to him. Pronto!!

As another poster above pointed out, a precedent has been set.

I’m thinking AB did all this on purpose to get a release. There’s no proof that he knew for sure the Pats would sign him though

I dont want to go full conspiracy but Brown starts to post things about the GM and the coach. That's outrageous. Roethlisberger talks about him on the radio and that shouldnt be done outside the locker room. How else could it have gone than him being released? What authority would Gruden or Mayock have if they let that slide.

He claims he had to have guaranteed money for anywhere he signed and while teams were processing and talking about him, the Pat's have a 1 year, $15m with $9m signing bonus ready and how long was he on the market? 30 mins?

Honestly this is entirely on the Raiders for releasing him.  Suspend him, start making phone calls, anything, but you just let a 3rd and a 5th rounder walk out your door and got nothing but threats and drama in return.
