Anybody still think Minshew will back up NF7?

Nice to have a guy who's biggest assets are his decision making, accuracy, and understanding of the offense. You can do some things to mitigate his physical lack if he can keep those big three going.

If somebody could just figure out how to transfer Bortles athleticism to Minshew we'd have a perennial All Pro! Smile

We could transfer the brain, but what if, something like Samson, the power is really in the 'stache?

Didn't think of that. That's probably it!

At least if didn't bounce off his foot.

The "foot interception" is the past. GM15 may be our future.

The day Blake Bortles, literally, could not hit the ground with the football.

It did bounce right off his facemask though lol.

Both turnovers on Sunday were directly caused by Fournette.

Unfortunate but true. LF27 ran well, only dropped one pass due to him trying to run before he secured the pass and he protected well, BUT he did have those two miscues.

To be fair, the fumble should have been both a horsecollar and a facemask...but hey, when you're an NFL darling, you get away with stuff.

Maybe all this Minshew hype will make some calls go our way.

The refs missed a pretty obvious penalty on Jack vs Mahomes.

Early in the game Mahomes slid and Jack went over top of him and grabbed the back of his helmet and his face mask. He almost pulled his helmet off, but there was no call when it should have been. Mahomes stood up and his helmet was halfway up his head.

The way I see it: Minshew is an upgrade. When Foles is healthy, he’ll reclaim his usual role of NFL’s best backup QB. Now is the time to put all your life savings on Jags winning the Super Bowl. The payout will fund your retirement.

Also, that was Fournette's first lost fumble of his NFL career. I think they said 463 carries or something. Things happen.

Now the dropped pass INT is definitely 100% his fault. Also, it's just Jags style that a simple dropped dump off gets intercepted.

O.K. we have jokes.

When NF7 is healthy, the only way that he remains the "NFL's best backup QB" is if GM15 has us at 7-2/6-3 to which he's playing lights out. We're paying NF7 too much $ for him to be an backup. Once NF7's contract is up, GM15 will be the man.

Foles is still the best QB on the team. Minshew is having a lot of expectations heaped on him for only having played a single regular season game. Dude still has some physical limitations as a player which caused him to go in the 6th round instead of sooner. I do think it's ironic that Minshew already clearly sees the field better and makes better decisions that the guy we had as a starter between 2014 and 2018.

I all aboard the Minshew train. But I do expect ups and downs. Remember when Flynn played in place of Aaron Rodgers and threw 6 tds? Then some poor team traded for him or spent money in FA (I don’t remember). And went on to do jack squat. Hopefully Minshew isn’t that guy.

It will be the most #becausejaguars thing ever if we spent $80 million on a QB who never plays because we drafted a 6th round rookie who never gives up the job only to lose because our vaunted defense can't stop anybody.

If this team has a winning record (or even .500) with Minshew at QB when Foles is able to come off IR, Minshew should absolutely stay as the starting QB.
