Someone (I don't remember who, bit it was someone with some credibility) analyzed all 25 of his throws from the first game, and they said all 25 were on the money and should have been completed.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda: we finally are forced to be aggressive when we're down 10 points, and lo and behold, Minshew is up to the task.  It makes you wonder, what if we had been more aggressive during the 2nd and 3rd quarters?  We seem to be hell-bent on being a running team, and we can't run worth a damn.
Agreed. They kept trying to force the running game and it simply was not there. They also had Fournette playing on damn near every offensive snap.

I keep seeing the same archaic offensive approach we've always seen out of this team regardless of the new face at OC.

It's frustrating. Yesterday looks like it came down to coaching once again. On a short week with TNF approaching fast?

I just hope this team doesn't get blown out at home as they typically do in these time slots. Minshew has a chance to be good this year.

Need to uncuff the kid and let him play.

I'm on the Minshew Bandwagon..

He's our franchise QB.

It's time for 20 years of dominance.

They are not throwing the ball downfield nearly enough, especially given his accuracy. All the sideline passes with a stacked box are ridiculous. I believe it is effecting the continuity of the passing game and keep pressure on the line as they continually are forced to struggle with a stacked box given this conservatively mediocre scheme. Vanilla is not even the word for it.

I’m on the wagon too. He also saved the Jags a ton of money bc Foles will be back on the market.

Could we trade Foles to Miami or Arizona or any other QB Strapped team for maybe a first ???

If they are gonna trade Foles, it'll likely be in the offseason.

Gotta know if the kid is the real deal before you give up on your intended QB. They won't get a first IMO.

Wouldn’t that be nice if GM does keep it up.   If they can deal Foles, that’ll save a bunch of money.  What compensation do you think Foles would bring?   I agree, it wouldn’t be a first.  I was thinking about it the other day.  A 3rd?  Jags wouldn’t hold much leverage having a backup getting paid so much, the new team taking on the contract.  The jags didn’t spend a pick on him so they can “afford’ really anything reasonable.

I think a 3rd, or a 4th would be the ceiling of what they could possibly get, but they should take whatever they can, even if it's just a 7th. That's a whole lot of money to hold the clipboard if Minshew turns out to be the real deal.

I would pump the brakes on the whole "trade Foles" thing.  Yes Minshew looks like "the real deal" over 2 3/4 games, but he is still a rookie and if God forbid should he get hurt... then what?  If he still looks and plays as well as he has over say a 6 game stretch then I might think about it... during the off-season.

IF Winshew turns out to be the real deal and not just a flash in the pan, which I think he will and we desperately deserve, I will kind of feel bad for Foles. Money aside since he's already made plenty, the poor dude finally gets another chance to be THE GUY, and lasts 5 minutes before a 6th round supplants him.

I'm sure $50m guaranteed for only 5 minutes helps ease that pain.
