Jaguars draft rumors

That might be the best possible scenario for us. It would finally give me some hope that possibly we could turn things around in the future. I would be so happy.

“Previously undisclosed”

The issue with drafting Jerry would be the past history involving the Jaguars selecting players with pre-existing injury conditions. So often we've heard we got a steal because a college player has first round talent, but fell in the draft due to a injury red flag.

The Jaguars really can no longer ignore the red flag thrown at injured college talent. I hope we stick to just players are are 100% healthy AND don't select those who carry a Hx of injuries present and prior. No matter what position we are drafting in whatever round, we can't throw away a pick on a player that will not produce because of a lack of health.

I can't think of a time when it's worked out in free agency OR the NFL College Draft, can you?

Not so much Jaguar related but apparently Carolina and Arizona want to trade down now.....could that mean they think Brown goes earlier?

Myles Jack?
I mean, you can argue how good or bad he's been. But he has yet to show any concern about the knee injury issue.

Mike Freeman mock draft this morning.....had us taking Jalen Hurts after trading from 9 to 23.....which bridge should we jump off of if this happened?

Tend to agree but you never know what the truth is, especially where we can't look at a guy in person this year. I remember when the Jags drafted a guy out of Missouri I think, a DE named Smith maybe who had hip issues (ring a bell, Tua?). He never did much, if anything, for the Jags...wasted pick.

Edit- 4th round pick in 2007 Brian Smith of Mizzou. Broken hip in senior year. Duh.

From Wiki: Smith was drafted in the 4th round on the 2007 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was placed on the PUP list during this rookie year. He was waived in June 2008, never playing a down for the Jaguars.[1]

The Colts have been looking for a good run stuffer for a long time. If he was good, they would have kept him. I've seen the guy play many times. He's not good.

You're so stubborn lol.

The highest one I could possibly find. I don't wanna take a chance of surviving the fall.

I'm starting to think that's the guy who falls in the draft.

So do we trade 9 to the Bucs for 14 and Howard? Then take Brown at 14?

Add in a 3rd and it’s done.

#9 for 14 Howard and a 3rd.

I see Wirfs and Thomas as possible draft targets for us. Why trade down if those are our targets?

Because both are gone?

I’m sure if they feel their top 8 players are gone and there’s no difference for them between their 9th best and 14th best, they make the move. Especially if the deal is another high 2nd rounder.

Thought I heard Dave has 4 guys at the top and then a bunch of similar grades after that. If our top 4 our gone by the time we pick, makes sense to drop 4 or 5 spots in the 1st round and get extra draft picks. I'm sure at 14 there will either be offensive tackles or WRs we could grab. Or Kinlaw. Same type of guy at 9 will probably be there in the mid teens.

If (big IF) this becomes true it could change dramatically the first round.
