Love the Jernigan signing.
We're still on shaky ground a bit when it comes to nose tackle however. We've basically got Abry Jones and the rookie, Hamilton, to rotate on early downs/ short yardage situations. We've got good candidates to rotate at 3 tech and play the nose on pass sets - but another big guy to stuff the run may be required if they don't want to tax the rookie with a high snap count right out of the gate. (Carl Davis is unlikely to push for snaps IMO)
Snacks Harrison still unsigned right? On paper at least he makes perfect sense. I wonder why he's seemingly not getting much interest.

After Caldwell signed Davis and Reid, I was getting nervous that he was signing "just bodies", lending his actions to tank for Trevor and/or more cap next season mentality. However, if they do sign Jernigan, it would show an honest effort to get better this season. Nah he's not a run stuffing Woods type. He is actually very similar to Gunter, solid average across the board 3 tech type.
Jernigan was a "must" signing after losing both Woods and Gunter. If he can remain healthy, I would expect him to be one of their starting tackles and help mentor Hamilton.

I still think it was a good signing, low risk high reward signing. It didn't work out so cut him. It shows they were trying to get better there at least

All the more reason to not be like "Here's this post from last year, that aged well" or whatever. It is strange to me that someone would remember something from months ago where someone was "wrong" go and search for said thread and then go "look at me look at me, I was right, you were wrong" And it happens all the time with lots of posters here. Kind of funny in a sad way.
