This is a very accurate statement.  Fournette is not the worst RB by any means, but he also isn't the best, and that's what you should be getting at 4 overall if you draft a RB.

I'm not a Fournette lover but my God, this [BLEEP] front office didn't even try to get trade value for him -- they still had another week to release him so why give up trying to get something in return. 

For the record if this move gets us Trevor and Dabo in Jacksonville then I'll be praising this move.  We need Dabo to change the culture here like Pete Carroll did in Seattle.

Yeah, Harvey was a bad draft pick, but these things have to be measured against what a team passes on. 2008 was a pretty mediocre draft, though they should have taken Campbell. Still is not like they passed on an elite QB.

The problem with 3.4nette is that they passed on a future hall of fame level QB and another one that looks to be very good to take him. It's not taking mediocre players when there aren't elite players on the board that kills teams, it's taking mediocre players when generational level talents are staring them in the face that kills teams.

Fournette was an issue in the locker room, and he changed our game plan too much to be a ground and pound team. Don’t we all want to see a more pass oriented offense? He would not have been happy with 5 to 9 carries a week as a change of pace bruising back. He would’ve caused issues in the media and in the locker room. I’m embracing the future and excited to finally see a new style of offense in Jacksonville.

Soward was back end of the first round and we traded up from the 2nd to get him as a "missing piece" or "luxury" kind of pick. He was basically a less talented Justin Blackmon without the monster 2.5 years of production.

Derrick Harvey bc we traded up from 26 to 8, and gave up 2 3rd's and a 4th iirc (just for comparison's sake Jared Allen was traded from KC to Minny for less) for him to just not even look like he belonged in the NFL or even cared.
