This would be a nice veteran addition to the dline

Brockers and Tomlinson would be two excellent additions to our D-Line.

Agreed, would be a huge upgrade to the dline and much needed.  I like how Urban pointed out there are a alot of things and weaknesses you can hide in football, but the dline isn't one of them.  You can't hide a weak dline and if you want to be a good football team you need a strong dline

I don't think the Jags are going to be as busy snagging those top tier players in FA as most of us had hoped and believed up to now. IF Spotrac is to be believed then there are only 4 teams over the cap with only the Rams as the only team over by more than 10 mil. There are only 10 teams with less than 10 mil available on their caps so there is money out there for at least 1 upper tier signing for 22 teams. Cuts down on who's available. How will the Jags be viewed in FA???

According to Free Agent Frenzy tonight on NFL Network, the Rams are still $32 million over and several over teams were over by more than $15 million. Who knows what is the correct amounts? So many different sources reporting different figures.

Looking at overthecap it shows 6 teams over the cap with 4 teams being over 10 mil. But it doesn't look as if that has been updated this weekend. Now, Spotrac shows the Pats with the most cap space going into FA.
I am not sure how the Rams will get under the cap. I figure Donald, Ramsey, Woods, Kupp, and Stafford will take a lot of their salary as bonus which will help. They have a 39 yr LT that only started 9 games last year and a salary cap hit of 11 mil so I am sure they'll do something with that but I am not sure where that will leave them.

I know this isn't going to happen but I'd like in this order, LT- T. Williams, TE- J. Smith, S- J. Johnson, DL- D. Tomlinson, and C- C. Linsley. IMO, you now have all 11 of your offensive starters with the drafting of TL. You still need to work on the defensive starters specifically DL and DB. I would like to have S.Jones, K.Cole, D. Westbrook, and maybe J. Jones (as a backup since he has a year of starting experience) back under team friendly deals which shouldn't be too hard. Banana

It would make sense they would do this.

If there is any inclination for Williams to chase a ring, the Chiefs would be a strong sell.

This would be huge for the Jets if they can land one of the best centers in the league

I think many, including in the media, underestimated the desire of Romeo Okwara to remain teammates with his younger brother Julian Okwara.

,Even with this high priced contract, I don't think the Patriots are done addressing their TE situation in a meaningful way. This is a team under Bill Belichick that once had Ron Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez at the same time.

He drafted two TEs last year.

Has he given up on them already?

I don't think Bill Belichick has given up on the two Middle Round draft pick TEs from last year.  Yet, I believe he recognizes that their ceilings are limited.  Hence,  the Hunter Henry addition this morning:

Adam Schefter on Twitter: "And New England strikes again: The Patriots are signing former Chargers' TE Hunter Henry to a three-year, $37.5 million deal, including $25 million guaranteed, per source. Free agency's top two tight ends, Henry and Jonnu Smith, wind up in New England." / Twitter

I don't see New England keeping four TEs.  One of those two draftees will get cut-ar at the very least be inactive all year barring serious injury to Smith or Henry.
