Dee Ford says he's better than Jadeveon Clowney

#21

Quote:Has there been any report that suggests Clowney has a high motor or strong work ethic? Didn't Spurrier say his ethic was merely ok? Can't gamble on players with redflags like Clowney with such a high pick. Even in his interview he comes off as a phony. This guy just wants to get paid then quit.

It is a shame Clowney does not have the intangibles to go with his physical gifts. If his head was in the right place he would be the best defensive player in the NFL. As it is, his talent will go to waste. It would be great for the Jaguars if the Texans pick Clowney and he shows everybody his head is at the bank.

Or he takes all this criticism and uses it to fuel his fire and then wrecks every QB he faces?

Even Gus said it would be egotistical of him to believe they can fix anyone. There's no chance we take Clowney

Haterade, that comment by Gus really made me question Clowney for this team. I think it's Mack/Franchise QB for us now.

Remember "Once in a Generation" - "Elite" - "Franchise Building Block". How many of you knew who Ford or Mack was 3, 6, 12 months ago?

Before that he said his goal is to be the #1 pick. If you want to be the #1 pick, you have to like the Texans, because there is no financial advantage anymore with the rookie wage scale.

I knew three months ago there was somebody named Mack, but I did not know his first name, school, or position until last week.

That happens every year. When people just say I want Mack, Mack is good, etc. and don't specifically say "Buffalo outside linebacker Khalil Mack . . ." how am I supposed to know who they are talking about?

By actually doing your own research for once? Or watching some college football games?

Ford can say whatever he wants, but he's also far from a perfect player.

Most of his sacks were coverage sacks, and he isn't the best against the run either.

And I would disagree, Clowney has a nice inside swim move that he uses effectively.  Don't see why he wouldn't continue to get better.

There's this wonderful thing out now called Google. Whenever you have a question or you seem unsure about something enter it into the search box and your answer will appear within about 1.2 seconds.

Jim Harbaugh also said Richard Sherman was not a good teammate/hardworker. Just because Clowney has these questions about him doesnt mean he wont become a star.

Randy Moss had all kinds of questions plus off field issues and he's a hall of famer and in the top in all WR records, when your super talented your bust factor is way lower, Clowney isnt some workout warrior I seen somebody say he's Vernon Gholston. People act like Clowney soph year he didnt have 13 sacks, then last year he had all the attention on him from every team, he still had a solid year.

Dee Ford should say he is better why would he say anything else?

I never watch games for scouting purposes. I only watch them to root for one team to win. Really, as long as we fill our needs with the best players available at their positions, I am happy.

Dee Ford also called Clowney a sissy and stole his lunch money

Jim Harbaugh also coaches Seattle's archrival. I am sure Richard Sherman know what the enemy said about him and went out to prove him wrong.

Harbaugh coached Sherman in college, so that's why he.mentioned it

Dee Ford saved 2 games for Auburn. He popped Murray to make him pass the ball bad on fourth down with 3 seconds left. He sacked JF on the last play of the game to save the Texas A @ M game. I know for I am a Auburn fan. He did not play much the first 3 games. The NC game he dominated Florida State with 2 sacks.

Ford though was injured most of his career at AU. I would be worried if we darfted him because of this.

When he is healthy he is unstoppable though
